Day 7: Tonight we are having a 2020 Clare Valley Riesling. Yes, it's very young, so I had it decanted for about 2 hours before enjoying. Decanting whites is great as it helps release aromatics and blow off some sulfur, especially when they're young. Aromas of lemon sherbet, hard boiled candy, lemongrass and hints of white florals. The palate is still shy, but shows promiseing notes of yellow fruits, lemons and limes. The acid is medium plus and has a long and crisp lingering finish. Definitely needs time in the bottle, 1-2 years and it will be a cracker!
