yes! it’s a philosophy and worldview that serves only the powerful. I feel like some people receive this awareness that everything is a unity, everything is one (whether authentically through direct transmission or less authentically through some kind of hack teacher), and then just assume that having this awareness is all it takes. and if they tell other people about that unity, then they’ve done everything they need to do to be spiritually whole. you don’t have to call attention to inequality, because everything is divine, and if you would only be honest about your divine nature, then all of your problems will melt away! or at least, the problems won’t seem so problematic anymore.
they forget that everything is the unity, even the boots of the fascist, even the fist of the resistance. the billy club breaking the bones of a protester is god. the broken bones of the protester is god too. the glass on the ground, the garbage in the street. keith lamont scott, terence crutcher, and every other victim of police brutality. they are all god. or goddess. whatever. the whole point of this reality is to experience being alive, to experience human being. and the experience of human being for a lot of people (maybe most people) is really fucking horrible.
and we have a responsibility as self-aware, self-reflective creatures to do something about that. as god, relating to god, relating to god. because sometimes god is an asshole, and other aspects of god have to educate it away from assholery.
so raise god’s defiant fist, everybody.
taste god’s blood behind god’s broken teeth.
‘til they put you in god’s green earth.
black lives matter
