clark landed softly in the alleyway in the deepest part of new gotham, pulling the beanie down a bit further before heading out towards the meeting place. he'd been in orbit the past couple hours to throw off any potential trackers or watchful eyes. clark had honestly thought the accords would be a good thing, maybe he had too much faith in humanity, but he quickly learned that bruce had been right. when isn't he right though... the first time he had been told to stand down when people were in danger clark knew he'd made a mistake.
it had taken him some time, clark was nowhere near as good as bruce was at stealth and espionage, but clark had reached out to his friend for advice and to offer his in return. their first meeting had gone well in clark's opinion, no one ever knew what bruce was thinking but clark was willing to do whatever was asked of him to make this right. all he wanted to do was help people, both as superman and as clark kent, and with bruce's help he hoped to get back to that.
he ducked into the abandoned building and made his way to the basement, using his x-ray vision to find the hidden door in the dark room. "hope I didn't keep you waiting too long." clark apologised to his friend who was currently cloaked in the shadows of the room.
