How is everybody else handling Fujio's disappearance?
Everyone had their own form of grief. Some handled it as well as humanly can, believing that while it is a tragic way to go, death is inevitable and they were sure he lived a good, but short life. He always strived to be the best he could become for those around him and was always there to help in any way shape or form.
Those who were not close to him decided it was best to let the others grieve as he meant a lot more to them than themselves.
Mayako, Yuka, Yori and Einosuke were all too busy to officially 'mourn' the loss. The latter of the four shrugging off the news hours after it was announced, being quick to mark the file he had on the boy as "Deceased".
The like of Chiyo, Katsuki, Isabella, Mantaro and Hisai took it relatively hard. The heavy tension they each had was understandable but when put together it was just short of suffocating. The occasional tears would be shed, but they were all the ones who were hastily getting his funeral together.
And, of course, Amai was taking it the hardest of them all. She hardly left the comforts of his bed, only leaving to use the bathroom and nothing more. Her face seemed to be in a permanent state of red and puffiness from the amount of times she's cried. Her eyes drooped as she had given up on the thought of sleeping. Every time she closed her eyes she swore she saw him there. And what would have been sweet dreams just became bitter nightmares, the reminder that she can no longer see, hold, talk to or just smile to him was more than enough reasons to keep herself up.
Pairs of her friends opted to help her. Every day one of the pairs of Katsuki and Chiyo, Hisai and Isabella and Mantaro and Kenji came to help her with the essentials. Get her out of bed, get her to eat anything, feed and rangle up the thirty ducks she kept, clean the home if needed (and with that many animals, it kind of was), get her outside, and, when the day was over, get her back into bed and hopefully she'd just pass out from exhaustion on her own.
