Things that happen at home:

Me, calling my dad, who is…curt, at the best of times: Hey daddy, love you how are you, how the fuck do I use an architect ruler? I need to turn my homework in by 4 pm. (It was noon when I asked)

Dad: Send me pictures of the assignment, I’m late for a doctors appointment. *hangs up on me*

Me: *sends pictures, watches a couple YouTube videos and reviews the class material, figures shit out*

Dad, calling me back at about 1 pm, no hello or any pleasantries: Well, I haven’t done this myself since the ‘80s but let’s get to business.

Me: Significant lack of Huns, no can do. I watched YouTube videos and already submitted my quiz. But! How many square feet of concrete is in a column that’s 20 inches, um, diameter and uhhh…and 18 feet tall?

Dad: I hate that I’ve watched that movie with you more than ten times. *blatantly puts me on speakerphone, rattles off the answer to the concrete question while there’s lots of crinkle noises in the background and then says this little gem* Shut up for a sec, my oldest halfwit has a legitimate question. Keep going, sweetie.

Me: I’m good Dad, thank you. I’ll let you get back to it.

Dad: Dammit. Yeah, alright. *hangs up on me*

Which one of my aura loosing moments are you?

Passing out in Spanish class in front of everyone.

Picked up a can of Pringles but it turns out it was water.

Crashing into the mad scientist while doing the Just Dance Ghostbusters dance.

Got kicked out of the restroom.

Teacher caught me kissing my sister. (Platonically)

Passed out in the middle of the hallway because of the smell of Axe Body Spray.

Had a panic attack in Biology class in front of everyone.

Got phoned by a friend and I didn't know the answer. (I almost cried)

Passed out during Math class after solving a problem on the board.

Sitting on the floor and my teacher told me to get up. (I was feeling dizzy)

Made a Bandori reference that no one got.

Told "Face+Floor=Mitch" By a kid.

Before I was even dating them people thought I was dating you or something. We just good homies. 💀

What is stress? A question I was asked in Physical Education.

This was my answer.

Stress is a feeling of uneasiness or overstimulation over something out of your control, whether it be an onstage performance or a nagging classmate. There are some things that everyone collectively stresses about, but usually stress is its own thing to everyone. For example, think about a class presentation or a marathon. Everyone is likely stressing about the same thing. But you may not be stressing about the same thing that someone visiting the moon is. Stress is not always a bad thing, however. Sometimes it can have positive out-comes. If your stressed about a project that's due tomorrow, your stress could push you to get it done and ace the project. It all depends on the situation.

Does anyone remember how, back at school, there was this thing called your Permanent Record? And sometimes if you had a Very Important Test, the teacher would take care to emphasise that the results would go on your Permanent Record? And if you were naughty enough, your misdemeanor would be inscribed on your Permanent Record?

It was said that your Permanent Record would follow you through life. Not only to the end of primary school, but into high school. Into life itself, steadily amassing the notes of all that was significant in your life. It was almost divine in its omniscient account of every report and test result. Ever spoken of in hushed, ominous tones, invoked as the gravest of warnings. 

 What was the ultimate destiny of these Permanent Records? Did anyone ever get to see theirs? Maybe you get to see it AFTER YOU DIE??? Did they even exist in the first place or was it all just a socially constructed conspiracy? Where did they keep the Permanent Records? Like was there one decoy filing cabinet where they had pretend Permanent Records and also an extra secret extra secure filing cabinet in a secret room where they were really kept?
