i know the race blindness of class analysis has been discussed ad nauseum but we really need to talk about how class blind race analysis is. all people of colour are not the same. indian immigrants working in the tech sector in the USA are generally propped up by institutions of caste and class back home, and they continue to benefit from it even after they leave. whatever they're saying is coming from a place of privilege and needs to be scrutinised, because otherwise, you have cases of American lefties supporting the fucking BJP because their Indian friend said they're good, completely disregarding the fact that he hails from an upper middle class Hindu brahmin background and probably has four servants back in new delhi. i can only talk about India, but I'm sure it's true about other immigrant communities too.
