Vintage Postcards After Dark.

Postcard from 1964 showing the world famous Baby Gruenwald theatre in Hollywood, California, its marquee boasting of the Beatles concert scheduled for that August.
That concert famously never came off, as John Lennon canceled the gig in a rage upon reading an article in ‘Sophisticated Baby’ magazine in which Baby Gruenwald described himself as being “bigger than Baby Jesus.”
Though Baby Gruenwald explained that what he’d meant to say was that he was "chubbier" than Baby Jesus, by the time everything was sorted out, it was too late, and the concert was never rescheduled.
