What do you love the most about the bond between the Powerpuff Girls?
I love how they generally have each other’s backs as a family. I love how Bubbles is the glue who holds them together. I love how Blossom and Buttercup butt heads most of the time, but also come together to crack the best jokes.
What's your opinion on the Powerpuff Girls episode, Meet the Beat-Alls?
It’s a great episode. I love all the Beatles references through Mojo, Fuzzy, Princess, and HIM! I love Moko Jono! I love Professor Utonium’s speech about hope.
DC PPG Comics issue #39, featuring “No Business Like Snow Business” and “Stared Straight” Slides 1-10

I also love how Buttercup’s crush on Ace from “Buttercrush” is something that Bubbles always brings up to tease her. Yeah, continuity in storylines wasn’t always a big priority to the writers in classic PPG, unless they wanted it to be, but “Buttercrush” is one of those episodes that always gets brought up.
Slides 1-10 of DC PPG Comics issue #35 “It’s Sleazy Being Green.” The girls and their classmates are taking a class field trip to the park with Ms. Keane to observe wildlife. Blossom and Bubbles are playing by throwing a stone to try to skip in the pond. Bubbles finds a frog to play with, takes it home, and names it Herman. Unfortunately, it’s not actually her a frog, but a criminal’s. 
It is pretty cute how Bubbles brings the frog home, Professor Utonium gives her a little box to keep him in, and then she kisses it goodnight, saying “Goodnight, sweet prince.” I’m laughing at the irony of Buttercup thinking it’s “yucky” for Bubbles to kiss a frog when she hated taking baths so much once that she refused to go without one for a week, pushed everyone she cared about away in her refusal, and stunk up the whole city. I think there was even a part where she actually licked monster slime off her face.

Slides 1-10 of DC PPG Comics issue #32 “Jelly Jam”
A burglar sneaks into the Utonium household at night, and steals some Chemical X from the Professor’s lab with an empty jelly jar. Unfortunately, there was still a bit of jelly stuck to the bottom of the jar when the burglar used it to scoop up some Chemical X with it, and inadvertently created a jelly jar monster.
This comic issue is obviously where the inspiration for the episode “Burglar Alarmed” came from. However, I like this comic version more because the girls actually fight a bad guy here. Professor Utonium actually gets woken up by the burglar and has an active role here in this comic issue, whereas in “Burglar Alarmed,” he bafflingly just slept through the whole burglary, even when the incompetent jerk screamed in his ear. It was sweet how the girls tucked their dad into bed, and tried to make sure he got sleep to help him be well-rested for his dissertation in the morning. Still, I really just don’t buy that Professor Utonium would be able to stay asleep through an entire burglary, even after the guy screamed in his ear. It just didn’t make sense to me.

Professor Utonium is such an adorably nerdy dad, telling his kids to brush their teeth before they go trick or treating, and scaring kids away by going overboard in being scary at the door when handing out candy.
