I don’t know…I kind of like the concept of this one, and I get that realistically speaking, the girls would just be starting to learn how to spell words by sounding them out as kindergarteners. Yet, I still think that all three of the girls, particularly Blossom, have all been portrayed as being far too advanced in reading, reading comprehension, and writing too many times throughout the series on several occasions for me to genuinely believe that they would seriously have this much trouble spelling words.
They’ve all been shown correctly pronouncing, spelling, reading, and understanding big words, and correctly reading, pronouncing, and understanding long letters. They’ve been revealed to have been learning and memorizing foreign languages. They scored pretty impressively on the SATs for kindergarteners, though Bubbles bullshitted her way through and got a perfect score without trying at all for laughs. They accurately gave Mojo Jojo a crash course on Napoleon’s role and ultimate fate in the War of 1812, while pelting him with pillows after he gave the three of them a completely bs bedtime story about Napoleon conquering the whole world when babysitting them. Blossom was shown writing a letter to Professor Utonium with presumably accurate grammar and spelling.
Yeah, Ms. Keane has been shown to take her students to advanced levels in academics on a few occasions before, but she couldn’t have taught them to be as advanced at reading, reading comprehension, and writing as the girls all usually are portrayed as being. Their dad is Professor Utonium, who’s a nerdy scientist, spending his time inventing, reading, and studying advanced academia most of the time. I’d think all three of the girls would be encouraged to study hard by their dad at home because they’d want to impress him with just how smart they were.
