AI Overview made my OC into a god

Ten years ago, I made an OC whom I named Cōzamālōtl-Mizton, literally Rainbow-Cat in Classical Nahuatl (I used to learn it).

If you google "cōzamālōtl", you will see the AI Overview lifting words from his Refsheet.net page and treating him as part of Aztec mythology. Are you kidding me. Nothing here is correct.

The issue will resolve itself soon enough, since Refsheet lost funds (rest in peace, it was a nice website) and will shut down in 2026.

But like, what the hell man.

Tzontlimatzi is my last name. What does it mean? All I know it's Aztec/Mayan.

It’s definitely Nahuatl. (Tzon)tli seems to mean hair and may refer barbs on a feather.[x]

When I looked up “matzi" I got an article on Uto-Aztecan language here. It seems to mean “elder brother”. That actually fits into how the Aztecs used to name their children, though usually it was how they named female children. [x]

In another source I have achtli as an elder bro and machtli as a nephew.[x]

I’m not an expert by any means and I don’t have my dictionary handy so someone with better knowledge can correct me. I definately think your name is related to kinship though.
