Undesirable Encounters (Closed Roleplay with classicalandproper)
Francis had made a decision to visit Austria, just to see how the country who had once been assigned to industrial exports in his beloved world was doing. It came as nothing short of a surprise to see that the stream of white on the Austrian flag was no longer dyed purple; it had happened again, he was staring in to the past.
It was no longer nostalgic to see a nation in the peak of it life, but rather a frustration, a taunting barrier between him and what he now recognized as reality. He tried his best to navigate the streets, but alas, he could not even navigate himself around the country's capital. There was hardly even a scrap of thought as to the streets that ran through the place.
It was weirder than he thought, in fact, to see any building that was not residential or a very versatile shopping market, that was all that had become of the capital of Austria, and that was the place he was used to navigating. Without towering apartment buildings that sat in tight rows, he was absolutely lost, with no markers to navigate back. There was only one thing left that he could possibly do; Ask a citizen for directions.
Looking around, he tried to find the strictest-looking person, assuming it was safer that way. He was looking for formality, not conversation and laughs from some far too friendly person. When he caught sight of a dark haired man, he approached. There was a sense of familiarity to the person, but alas, he could not recall. He didn't need to, all he needed to know was the fact that they appeared to be of utmost formality, and he assumed it wouldn't be much of a hassle to ask.
"Good day, sir," He stated as he approached the man, his hands carefully tucked behind his back. "By any chance, do you know your way around this place?"
