A little Sonic wearing his birthday gift for @classicpals~
@classicpals from here
“I wanted to see if you’re slower than your taller counterpart. So far, I’d say that’s the case.” His arms are crossed, the lone visible eye watching him through a red-tinted lens that made the yellow eye seem unnatural. He’s a good few feet off the ground, expression hidden away. “Of course, he was slow too the first time I faced him. It made it easy to kick him around like the little blue ball he often looks like.”
@classicpals got bumped into.
[💎] Tails jumped at the sudden voice behind him. The little fox turned to see the echinda standing there looking quite surprised. “Oh! It’s okay!” he told her with a smile. “Who were you looking for?”
Well, that was awkward.
“Another echidna.. Pink, Rough attitude, wears a tank top. Might or might not be looking for someone herself.” Would reply the lady without conviction, not really super excited about loosing her trail. “Don’t mind me, I have been on this wild goose chase for a while, lost my manners on the way.”
❝ ... you’re right, i’m sorry. ❞ she says, regretting what she said. she had spent so much time with him these past few years that she had forgotten that he was alone this whole time. and he was also right about the other thing -- they were in the middle of running ! ❝ lets get out of here, sonic ! ❞ / @classicpals

“So~?” She asked, posing for the other. “How do I look, Sonic? I got this new conditioner and now my quills are so soft!” She did a small spin before posing once more.
“Ready for our date?” She asked, grinning wickedly. She had by some miracle, won a bet against Sonic and finally forced him to go on a date with her. To say she was excited was an understatement.

“Sonic!...” Nothing.
“SOOONNIC!!” Tails shouted, cupping his hands around his mouth as he did so. His eyes scanned throughout the sandy fields that inhabited Seaside Hill.
“Where is he?...” He scratched his head. “He said he’d be here already.” He remarked with a groan. For a speedy hedgehog, he sure knew how to be late!

Tails relaxed and gave the blue hedgehog a small smile upon seeing the other’s guilty look. “Hey, it’s alright.” He assured the other with a familiar thumbs up he had long since picked up from the blue blur himself. “I’m just glad I found you.” Then his eyes widened and he grabbed the other’s arm, beginning to tug him away towards the direction of their home.
“Right! How could I forget?” He slapped his forehead in irritation, seeming slightly frantic. “The entire reason I came looking for you was because something happened.” He explained, leading the other down the familiar path through the woods.
“While I was out in my workshop and you were out getting yourself trapped,” He gave the other a small unimpressed look upon saying that before continuing. “Someone broke into our house. Not sure if it was Robotnik or not, but when I got home; the place was wrecked. I don’t know if whoever did it took anything or not, but I came to get you as soon as I could.”

This was Mobius. A planet that should’ve felt like home to him according to his code. Despite knowing that the schoolhouse wasn’t his true home, it was the only place that really felt like it after a while. He’d become accustomed to gray walls, numbers with eyes, and posters on the wall. He knew that Mobius was the home planet of every other Sonic, so it was only logical that it should’ve felt like home to him too. He wanted it to feel like home, but it didn’t. He knew nothing about Mobius. He had no real memories of this place.
It was a relief when he saw Tails for the first time. In the flesh, not in the form of a poster that you can click and make disappear. He was supposed to be Sonic’s best friend. If he needed to talk to anyone right now to feel “at home,” it would be him. He needed to know more about this place.
“Don’t worry, I have the time,” he signed, “I know it’s nothing like the schoolhouse. Everything here seems more natural. People can actually talk back to you here. I’ll listen to whatever you have to tell me about this world.”
