Starting the day w/ the glorious 2011's Hurry Up, We're Dreaming by M83 It's almost astounding to me how prescient this record is of the current #80srevival. Even the #albumcover seems to predict the purple-and-pink #glowaesthetic that is inescapable in 2016. Also surprised, upon re-listening, how many glassy #80ssynth textures there are. This year's #Junk makes a lot more sense, listening back to some of their older stuff. Noticed slinky #saxophone and syrupy #funkbass that i had never really picked out before. Stoked to continue to investigate the most influential records of the handful of genres i specialize in.
