This one is another interesting one to think about. Here’s Thief of Mind, for classpcter!
Mind indicates logic and precision.
Thieves value their Aspect above all else.
A Thief of Mind is extremely proud of their intelligence and logical ability.
People say that knowledge is power, but the Thief of Mind knows better. Knowledge is nothing without the mind to process it. No, it’s intelligence that grants true power. A cunning mind and a quick wit will always triumph over some idiot who memorized the contents of a library. And the Thief? Oooh, the Thief is the smartest. They pride themselves in their calm rationality and their ability to keep their emotions from interfering with their thought process. The fact that this pride is in fact an emotion that interferes with their thought process is an irony that often escapes them.
The Thief sees themselves as a leader, a go-getter, a decision maker. When it comes time to Get Things Done, the Thief will be the one to Do It. They often bull their way into leadership positions, giving out orders with the natural expectation that they will be followed. They’d make for a great lab partner if you’re lazy and don’t mind them getting you an easy A, but if you actually thought you’d be involved in the process you’re out of luck. The Thief is smarter then you, thinks faster then you, and is better at making decisions then you, so shut up and let them work.
For all of their bluster and arrogance, however, the Thief of Mind really is as good as all that. They are incredibly intelligent and very fast, clear thinkers. They excel at logic puzzles or strategy games, particularly games of perfect information and no randomness, like Chess or Go. They may not necessarily be the most knowledgeable, but their minds whir at a million miles per hour, outpacing everyone and everything around them. Just don’t ask them to interact with anyone - the natural arrogance of the Thief mixes with Mind’s cold, distant demeanor to create an individual who can be… difficult to adjust to.
The biggest obstacle to Full Realization for the Thief is their need to be the decision-maker. Allowing somebody else to call the shots or make a major decision is difficult for them - they’re backseat drivers by nature, convinced that everyone else is “doing it wrong”. However, their talents are limited to the cerebral arena, and the sooner they understand that others have talents and abilities of their own, the sooner they can learn to delegate tasks and cease being a one-person show.
Thieves steal their Aspect for their own use.
Mind gives power over choices, decisions, and thought.
A Thief of Mind steals thoughts and the discernment to make decisions from their foes. That’s not terrifying at all! [/Sarcasm]
Thieves all have a very simple but very potent power: theft. The Thief of Mind can absorb the ability to think clearly and make decisions from their foes, slowing the thoughts of their enemies and accelerating their own. Those affected by this power will have their ability to reason reduced, wandering aimlessly or acting on impulse. The Thief, by contrast, can think at lightning-quick speeds and make logical, reasoned decisions in moments by building his store of Mind with pilfered gains.
Depending on the Thief’s temperament and personality, other things might be stolen instead. Literally stealing thoughts from people’s heads can make them an excellent interrogator and spy. A particularly philosophical Thief might steal people’s actual choices or actions, allowing them alter the outcome of events by changing who did what. It may even be possible to steal memories or skills to become better than someone at their own speciality!
Once they reach Full Realization, a Thief becomes able to ‘borrow’ Mind from others rather then steal it. This effectively allows him to use the minds of his allies like servers in a network, distributing his thoughts among them to act like a supercomputer. By thinking with many minds at once, the Thief can not only think faster than ever before, but read and leave behind thoughts in the borrowed minds as a sort of cut-rate telepathy. With this ability to distribute thoughts and examine a problem from every perspective, the thief of Mind can become a top-rate tactician and strategist.
