Also I love Claudio Moneta as Shadow the Hedgehog to the point I was very distracted by his performance when I played gens. But the script we got is based on the American characterization, which is fine and all, and I did like how shadow is written in the game but I feel like the japanese version is a completely different character.

I'm playing the adventure games in Japanese. When I tell you I ship sonadow, it's to be understood as the japanese version of their dynamic. I enjoy the twitter takeovers for what they're worth, and I liked sonic prime etc, but I can't understand things like... Why American!Shadow is so fixated with training? Why do him and Sonic argue all the time?

I've just realized

These two share voice actors in both Japanese (Koji Yusa) AND Italian (Claudio Moneta).

This was probably unintentional. But it's a hilarious coincidence either way!

Watching Italian Footage of Sonic X Shadow generation - Audio on. Moneta nailed Shadow (His dubbing style remembers me Jason's and David's, for making Shadow sound mature and natural).

Here is what I commented on YT:

Moneta is convincing in the dubbing. We feel that Shadow is always sad, resigned to his lonely fate. I like that they humanized him. It is no longer made of iron. He is tired, loses focus, starts daydreaming and then realizes and tries to get back down to earth as we saw in Dark Beginnings.

No spoilers from me. I have a lot of things to say these days before reaching that point.
