I have given up trying to guess whether an interview went well or not. I find it impossible to tell. I can feel like I knocked it out of the park, and then never hear anything from them. I can feel like I dropped the ball completely, and get a request for another interview. It’s a black box. Impossible to know. I know your frustration.

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS. Anybody who spent any amount of time with me over the holidays can attest to my gushing about D&D funtimes. When it was looking like I might get stuck in Toronto until the 27th I was like "It's cool, I could just extend my trip a bit... BUT I NEED TO BE BACK BEFORE JANUARY 10 BECAUSE IMPORTANT REASONS."

I’ve also had good luck with chopping onions underwater. Just fill the sink with (not entirely cold) water (or your hands will ache) and chop onions there.
I've heard this advice before, but wouldn't your onions get, like, way wet? In my imagination I'm picturing a sink full of floating onion bits, though I'm guessing in reality your onion just gets soggy. Honestly it would be waaay too much work for me to clean out my sink so I can fill it with water (I have a tiny kitchen so there are always at least a few dirty dishes in it). So far "crying a bit" is still the most convenient onion-cutting strategy for me. :)
My mother totally makes fun of me for it, though. It must be payback, 'cause I make fun of her for crying over birthday cards. :D

11. Have you ever created alternate versions of your own stories? Are there any you are tempted to write?: Of my own? Only better versions. I guess I imagined a version of The Church of What's Happening Now told from Aradia's point of view at one point; the sequel is definitely from her point of view.
12. Do you sneak personal references into any of your stories? Would you care to share some examples?: Not really. The only one that leaps immediately to mind is Gamzee singing Pumped Up Kicks in In Which Karkat Vantas Learns to Share. Other than that... nothing really leaps to mind. I'm honestly not entirely sure what a question like this means. All my stories are personal references, references to my own little what-if moments. They're all about things I wanted to see that I hadn't seen, things personal to me that happened to (occasionally) resonate with other people.
