“Are you absolutely positive about that, Monsieur? Did you know that there was a student who had been threatened with losing absolutely everything just after Volpina arrived back at that school?” Ladybug asked, shifting a bit from the weight she’d put on her left hip today. That stupid akuma hurt her leg pretty badly. “That student confided in me after a patrol. Her name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Marinette gathered enough courage to stand up to Volpina and Volpina twisted her words around to threaten the one student who has more credibility in all of Paris.”
Ladybug crossed her arms, somewhat disappointed. Why was she so upset with this? Well, maybe if it’s about her civilian self, it felt... wrong. To talk about her problems with the issues as a normal girl to the boy she loved.
“Didn’t she win a contest designed by your father? Didn’t she design the newest cover for Jagged Stone? Didn’t she become your class’s representative?” she questioned, stepping forward. “What about the best grades in her class, after you of course? Didn’t the hat she designed for your father’s contest get the attention of Chloe’s mother, the Queen of Style?”
The ‘Marinette’ from within Ladybug wanted to scream and cry and throw a fit for just once, but she was the symbol of positivity in Paris. What would they do if Ladybug became an akuma? Especially Chat Noir, who was so reliant on her.
