God, I wish these were more legible before firing.

Ended up spending time last Saturday making a blue mason stain porcelain and attempting a plaid pattern via caning/nerikomi. It worked well! This little trinket dish enchanted me a TON, and I'm working on a few more. It gave me the vision for a trans plaid pattern, and at the top is my first into the layout with the scraps. It's hard to see before firing, but I'm optimistic!

I'm not trying to get big for my britches here, but I really think the clear glaze on top and further vitrification at cone 5 or so will make the porcelain pop even more 🤞🤞🤞

Sometimes I sculpt, and sometimes I have to use up all the blue clay.

Premo polymer clay flowers, done with caning. Piece completed for a local exhibition with the theme 'blue note'.
