Megalosaurus (1850s) and Megalosaurus (modern) polymer clay sculptures

The Megalosaurus was the first dinosaur to ever be named, we’ve known about it almost as long as paleontology has existed. Despite this, however, it is still quite poorly known with how few fossils of it that have been found. Both reconstructions are based heavily around educated guesses, though with about seven more decades worth of research under their belt, modern paleontologists have a much better idea of Megalosaurus’ stance and size.

I made these as homework. For a writing class. I’m glad I didn’t have to give them to my professor, I became very endeared to them in the process of creating them. My Crystal Pal <3

Made these years ago and I don't think I ever shared them but I was going through some of my stuff and figured I might as well ya know?

They're between 2-4 years old (left one was made first) and despite the numerous flaws and fuckups, I still really like how they turned out. I could potentially remake them in the future but my next mask I'm making is either for 049 or an oc lol so it wouldn't be any time soon.
