I don't think YouTube understands just how much I hate them and their ads. I may not know how to install an ad blocker on the TV, but I DO have Cleantube on my phone which has no in video ads! Though there are ads on the home screen now, even though there didn't used to be, but they are FAR LESS INTRUSIVE than YouTube's entire platform.
Anyway, I just cast my phone screen to the TV. And sure, the video is smaller, and the graphics aren't as high quality, but there's no ads.
Let me reiterate that: I'm willing to deal with a smaller video size (compared to normal TV YouTube) and lower quality graphics in trade for no ads in videos. I hate YouTube and their ads so much that I'm willing to go through the process of casting to the TV everytime I wanna watch YouTube. Because fuck YouTube. They used to be (marginally) cooler when I was a kid. Now they fucking suck.
So I take my victories where I can.
