Cleaning Vinyl - Recommended product
One of the fun parts of getting back into vinyl is finding copies of albums that are no longer produced. I'll write about Discogs later. However, buying second hand vinyl is obviously always a bit of a gamble and on many occasions you might receive some vinyl which is free from scratches but looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 40 years.
This is where a vinyl cleaner comes in and is an essential part of your audio setup. I bought this kit from Amazon and my goodness it does wonders.
This relatively inexpensive cleaning kit costs around £16 and will renew your vinyls terrifically. You have to make sure that you spray the solution on the record, and then using one of the microfibre cloths work anti-clockwise and make sure you really get dirt our of the grooves.
The record will come out gleaming and dust and dirt free. Then remember to let the record dry.
The results are incredible. It manages to remove so many pops and crackles and let the record really shine.
The bottle is good for cleaning hundreds of vinyls. Head over to Amazon and give renewed life and clarity to your vinyl.
