Hi, is there application profile file for Clear Summer Reshade? I've repeated the instructions a few times, the instructions are clear, but when the game loads Reshade warns: "Could not find application profile file, falling back to default." And the game is almost pitch black in darkness. Using Reshade Assistant to create a profile by adding TS4_x64.exe to a new profile it gives me the error: "Application profile creation failed due to ... Recursive Link Detected".
The assistant won’t work because I use values outside of the range it allows. It has to be manual installation only.
As long as the folder structure is intact, and you are not using the assistant in any way, it should load as intended.
Because you aren’t using the assistant, that "Could not find application profile file, falling back to default" message is perfectly normal. It doesn’t affect anything, it’s just a warning message. The message is telling you that there are no assistant-organised profiles present, and therefore ReShade is loading the default profile instead. Clear Summer is the default profile.
As for darkness, in the ReadMe I explain that the initial menu may look dark and ugly, and that is because of the SSAO shader kicking in. That can be toggled off while in that menu. While you’re in the game proper it goes back to normal. The SSAO shader doesn’t seem to exhibit this behaviour in the Legacy version of Clear Summer, which uses an earlier version of ReShade. I don’t know why this is. Either way, it isn’t a gamebreaking problem since the effect can be toggled easily, or turned off permanently in the cfg files. Further, if you don’t like the SSAO shader in-game, you can either tweak the values to something more to your taste, or disable it in the same way as you would for the menu (either toggling it off, or disabling it permanently in the cfg file).
