So, the Shadow Knight fights what kind of crimes? You mentioned "gangs" in her profile, but gangs are generally very territorial, so it would probably be just one. And the Shadow Knight could break just a couple of their arms and just having two fighters out of commission would force them to restructure their whole organization. Not to mention that getting one's butt kicked by a Hellsing nightmare would make almost anyone leave a single business alone. So... who is she fighting every night?

Clemente Dawn.

Clemente is a sadistic, calculated mob boss that haunts Hector Barnaby's memories, day and night. (That's a backstory for whenever my goofy ass decides to actually write it all down)

After somehow being released from his life sentence in prison, Dawn's ultimate goal is to hunt down Hector, and kill him, including any family that he's regained along the years that Dawn's been in prison.

Crypta hears about this, and chooses to sabotage every single plan that Dawn tries to execute as The Shadow Knight. He doesn't give up, however. So it's a constant battle between her and Clemente, along with his many, MANY 'helpers'. He's gone as far as to bribe other gangs with the promise of a wealthy lifestyle, to get rid of TSK.

If they don't succeed, some gangs will accept the fact that they might never be able to do their part of the bargain for Clemente, and give up. But there are some that refuse to quit. They try again, and again, and again. Clemente has them wrapped around his fingers, willing to do whatever it takes to complete their task.

Clemente is FASCINATED by TSK. He's curious about their identity, yet frustrated because they're ruining all his plans!

So he waits. he sends more hitmen. and he observes. he makes more plans. he starts to experiment. he waits.

he's insidious. he wants to keep the shadow knight busy. see what will make them snap.

The Dead Eyes + Helleborus notes and lore stuff

Also some connections from Helleborus to Dimitri !! 😉

There lies a dense, dark forest, called the Hollow Thicket. This forest is known for numerous rumors and horrific stories that have traveled throughout Rosemore Town for decades.

Venturing into the Hollow Thicket, it’s extremely easy to get lost. If you go far enough, however, you may find the remnants of a few abandoned buildings. No one could ever pinpoint whether these buildings used to be factories, due to the odd number of ‘prison cells’ that would appear, one by one. It’s rumored that they’re being built by an unknown party.

That party would be The Dead Eyes, a gang of mobsters lead by Clemente Dawn himself.

Not long after claiming the factory ruins as their base, numerous murders and disappearances would occur. Endless agony and fear wrecked the town.

(This is when Dimitri comes it 😳)

SO. Dimitri. Think of him as a grim reaper. Except there’s no rules or ‘grim reaper code’, nothing like that. He’s his own kind of cryptid, and his morals are his limits. After experiencing the grief and trauma of losing his beloved friend to Dead Eyes, he made a promise to protect Rosemore from Dawn’s wrath for the rest of his life. (Or until Clemente ‘passed away under mysterious and totally non-murderous circumstances’...) And that’s how he becomes Helleborus!!

As Helleborus he lingers around the Hollow Thicket, keeping people out, feeding into more stories and creating the urban legend of The Forest Reaper for the parents in all of Rosemore to tell their children as to keep them away from certain death and turmoil. He will use his scythe to threaten anyone that happens to wander the forest, but will kill a member of the Dead Eyes on sight.

Given that Dimitri is still an professor, however, it’s a bit difficult to monitor the forest 24/7.
