Denver Dress Up recently sat down for a casual get-together with one of Denver's best kept secrets. Cleo Ortiz has been designing for decades and has seen first hand the evolution of the fashion industry here in Denver. I met her for the first time at Fashion Denver's Bounce fashion market and was instantly captivated. Ortiz is not only intriguing in aesthetic--she is half Ethiopian, half Jewish--but there is something about her Southern voice, piercing blue eyes, and high spirited and strong personality that makes me want to know the story of her entire life.
