Open Theology Question of the Week:

Clerical shirts. Those things priests wear that have collars. I have encountered some people who would say that a clerical shirt is like a uniform, and therefore, should only be black. The reason most of them are black in the first place is because they are imitating the cassock. So, my question is, does it really matter what color they are? Though, I do respect reserving purple for bishops, I will say my own bishop I've never seen in purple.

I plan on getting plenty of traditional black ones. I also want to get a royal blue one, and maybe a maroon one. So, I pose this question to you.
