I threw a tea party!!

It was my first time ever throwing a tea party, let alone ever like. Participating in anything resembling high tea. But the Bridgerton brain rot is real.

Anyhoo I made scones (& I found clotted cream! Though I also made homemade butter), a savory selection, and a bunch of cookies and cupcakes and pastries. And then I also had tea and lemonade. And it went well! And I had fun! And I’m exhausted!

#clev talks #idk anyone irl who likes bridgerton #so it was really just like family & family friends who were down for a bit #and they WERE down for a bit everyone was so in. and most of them even dressed up! regency style! so that was so fun #which like I asked them to dress up but I was surprised ppl participated hahahahaah #anyway it was really lovely and it was simultaneously embarrassing but thrilling bc everyone was like ‘wait so what’s Bridgerton abt?’#which meant I got to talk abt my special interest. but that also meant I had to talk about my special interest #anyway this is one of 4 reasons that I’ve been super mia lately bc this was so so much work #the other three being work and school and mental health but who’s counting #I could see doing it again bc I have all the stuff now! but also I wouldn’t make so many things from scratch this time #oh also last pic is to show that my wives came <3 #also if u notice that we used soup bowls as mugs. no u didn’t #the end

I’ve been in prison (writing under a deadline) and I slept maybe 2 full hours last night only to wake up and find out that my thesis advisor actually isn’t going to help edit my thesis until I write the entire book. So. Instead of having to write 140 pages to graduate I have to write. A full novel. In like. A couple months.

#this is like a stupid thing to complain about because I have someone who really believes in me as a writer #and who is going to like. help me write my first novel #and who is a professional novelist himself #right. so it’s like a blessing #but I also just cannot afford to be in grad school anymore like I’m so #I am so poor #and now with Trump in office and everything going on I just can’t be. in grad school any longer!!!!!!!!!!! let me OUT #and I know it’s just like well then write the novel! and I am I am going to write the novel #but I’m tired and frustrated!!!!!#anyway thats my story #after being mia for weeks #in other news I have another fic coming out shortly #clev talks #clev complains
