Actually, not sure how clever I am …. I had already forgotten the poly V thing from the sneak peek (I read a LOT of fics yesterday😆) and thought Ezra and/or Javi had some kind of dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde thing going on. (Maybe so?). While I originally thought share with the audience but when I re-read it, I realized ooohhh “share.” Still think it’s a double entendre. Intrigue straight ahead! Excellent multilayered story. I am so hooked. Cannot imagine the research it took. PS Loving that Pauline works at a newspaper. I’ve rambled enough. Thank you!!

Dolly's thinking the same thing! She can't understand how this lovely man could suddenly switch off on her so fast! Wonder what she'll discover after a few more days at The Basement...

Did I spot a clue/Easter egg/double entendre in “Sing for me again before I have to share you, won’t you?”

Ohhh, 'non, you are a clever reader. Surely Ezra only means he wants to enjoy Dolly's singing before she goes live with an audience at The Basement, right? 😉 I admit that Lucy (@stardustandskycrystals) and I have sort of ruined our own surprise, but that doesn't mean we won't enjoy the "suspense" while it lasts. Sorry, but about the fiasco en route to the safehouse: no one from teen assassin to John and Anthea to Mycroft seems to think about or mention the Driver of the car. Two bodyguards with John = "Caruthers is dead and Nadir [,,,] lost his leg below the knee." I kinda assumed the driver was dead, since the teen unlocked the doors up front, but... am I missing something, or was this an 'always something!' author goof/plot-hole?

Well, you have to keep in mind from a limited POV only the things important to the person. Or rather you could think of it as the bodyguards (and John) really being the only ones that matter in this circumstance as their survival or lack thereof could be seen as a sign of their loyalty being intact. Whereas if they were missing or at let John go while they functioned Mycroft would have to have them killed. So to Mycroft, in the report that's all he needed to know about. At least superficially. But then you've been rather clever.I do occasionally drop a plot hole behind, but this is not one of those instances. I'm not saying anything else on the subject. :)
