He was dead. Gone. And all the goddess had been able to do was watch. The kind and noble Theoric was no longer. He was gone. One of the many lost during this horrific tragedy. There were no words that could possibly begin to describe her horror or anguish. There was nothing that could bring the warrior back. And the worst part was that it could’ve been her. It should’ve been her. And yet Theoric had to be so noble. He had been so selfless and brave and took that spear for her. He gave his life for hers. Sigyn didn’t even have a chance to properly mourn. All she had been able to do was told his body for a few short moments before having to go back to the battlefront. Only a short while after witnessing the horror, she was back to rushing through the throngs of panicking Asgardians. Part of her wished that she had died instead. Because there was nothing worse than holding a loved one. Watching them die in your arms; having their blood stain your skin and clothes.
Sigyn had never felt so angry before. Angry at the trolls who killed him. Angry at herself for not being able to save him. Her blood felt as though it was boiling and, as she shoved her way through the masses, she found herself unable to control emotions. Her magic, too. The girl had never had a violent bone in her body. Yet with a wave of her hand, she was fighting off giants. Sending them flying and probably maiming a good majority of them. While typically, she might have felt proud in a moment like this, all she could think of was how much she wanted revenge. How that it wasn’t fair that Theoric had died. That her people were dying. And who was to blame? Loki. The man that she had one swore her heart to. “Loki!” The maiden practically screamed as she scoured the streets. She had gotten deeper into the city now. It wasn’t as chaotic and she hoped that he might be lurking around somewhere in the depths. “Loki!”
