Alright listen up you fucking pussies, today is officially the day of birth of one of my best friends on this goddamn hellsite.

It’s been... 6 years? Something along those lines since we’ve actually started talking, and it started on my Bhani ( descendants oc ) blog, and then you followed me over when I first made my Jack blog and the rest is history. You’ve always been a constant person in my life when a lot people tend to cycle in and out after short bursts of friendships, and despite long stretches of silence, we always come back to each other, cause we know that life be like that. And even when we’ve had our differences, like we did a few months ago, you have no idea how much it means to me that we can talk through them without there being any real bitterness or bad blood between us. We talked it out, listened to each other, apologized to one another, and promised each other to do better.

And we are.

I know with my iffy moods on socializing that I can be distant, but I’m really happy that you stuck around, and that we’re still close all these years - and blogs - later. I’m proud of the progress you made as a person and how strong you are. And if we’re lucky, we’ll be meeting face to face at Blerd con this August, but even so we’ll figure out a way, since you’re a 3 hour train ride away. ( I can put up with motion sickness for you. )

Happy Birthday, Monie. Here’s to another year of having the honor of being your friend. <3

     It was deeply uncomfortable for your first meeting with someone to be telling them that their dog had somehow gotten into your, uh, bone pile. What was more uncomfortable was telling a stranger that you had a bone pile. Well, was he a stranger? She had heard about Carlos and his friends non-stop since they had left for Auradon. Why he was back on the Isle was a mystery to her. As much as she loved her home, she wouldn’t want to come back to it if she had the chance to leave. At least, not for a while.

“Looking for this?” Rosie stepped in front of him, holding his dog in her arms. Despite how weird she felt, she smiled. “I found him sniffing around my room. I didn’t think dogs actually liked bones, but I guess they do!”

@herheroics​ like evie playing "dumb" in the first movie makes sense because it's what she thought she needed to get a prince and make her mother proud. but we all know she's smarter than that ! she knows that! and we love and stan !

yep that’s exactly right ! she was ‘dumb’ for the purpose of being a dumb ditzy princess who’s a damsel in distress waiting to be saved but she has literally shown, time and time again that she’s not dumb or stupid, and that she sure as hell don’t need no prince. she handles that sword like a boss ! we definitely do love an stan our smart baby !

MOST DAYS, ALLY TRIED DESPERATELY TO IGNORE THE DULL ache in her chest. An ache, she was sure, that plagued most kids on the Isle. An ache that spawned from the lack of parental affection, that threatened to dull even the most vibrant of minds and chill even the warmest hearts. IT WASN’T FAIR. Being born on the Isle...it was a punishment for a crime they never committed. a sentence to a miserable half life in which everything they did was not enough, NEVER enough. 

But today, the feeling pierced her armor and pervaded the very air she breathed. How could she escape a feeling that clung to her so tightly it might as well have been a second skin? The pressure it exerted on her fragile frame threatened to suffocate her - she couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t breath shecouldn’t -

The (warm) weight on her shoulder jolts her from her thoughts,  giving her a moment’s reprieve to catch her breath. The sharp intake of air is audible, but she looks more at ease the second oxygen returns to her lungs. He had always made it easier, in the way only an older sibling could. 

“You...you do?” She questions soft, gazing up at him with teary brown eyes. It shouldn’t surprise her - in some ways it DOESN’T - but it’s still strange to hear aloud. The ghost of a smile flickers across her features, raising her hand to gently touch his and leaning down to rest her head on his shoulder. “It...it definitely helps.” A LOT. she can feel the storm settling, letting out a shuddering breath before smiling more genuinely. “And it’s the same here, Los. I couldn’t imagine a life without you...I wouldn’t want to. You’re the best brother.”

"Do you know who the best Valentine is in all of Auradon?" Tone is light as he sticks his head in to his sister's room, a bright smile on his face as he holds up her gift bag. Of course it's no surprise that hers was their color scheme, but a bit more bright to fit such a happy holiday. "Now I know I didn't have to do this but, I couldn't leave my sister hanging." The contents in her bag were some treats, made by himself and Evie, and a heart shaped pendant he saved up for. "Enjoy yourself, Ly."

  the second he pops his head through the door frame, she knows. his first sentence just makes it that much clearer. her heart swells in her chest as she catches sight of the bag, her love for her brother spilling onto her cheeks in the bright red blush. it was less about material objects, more that he had put in the effort to get her something. and that effort...well it meant EVERYTHING to Ally. she made room on the bed, patting the seat next to her as she grinned. “I do indeed, but I think we have different answers.” 

   she reached over and opened the first drawer of the nightstand, pulling out a (poorly) wrapped gift. “because mine, as always, is you.” it wasn’t anything super special, it consisted mostly of; a couple of techie things she had scrounged up, a bracelet she had made for him in her intro to art class, sheet music for a theme song for the two of them (still a work in progress!) and her favorite, a glistening red leather journal for him to sketch out and design his genius inventions. 

   she took the bag gently from his hands, her eyes widening as she glanced inside and pulled out the necklace. her thumb absently rubbed the pendent, expression all but glowing. “thank you, los! this is...i can’t even form words. i love you, carlos.” she wrapped her arms around him tightly. through all the horror they had been through on the isle, he’d been her one salvation. the one person who made the weight of the world easier to bear. and things hadn’t changed a bit since they’d moved to auradon. he was still her superhero of a big brother, and she loved him more than anything else in the world.

"I've been giving these out to everyone, but you know I had to save the best for last." That, and because he might've put in a little extra effort into her goody bag for the holiday. While he was not really one that cared... much for Valentine's Day, he wouldn't shy away of doing something special for his friends. Holding out the bag for her, her's pretty proud of how his cupcakes turned out. His baking lessons really did come in handy. "I hope you don't mind being my Valentine, E."

                    there’s absolutely no holiday evie adores more than valentine’s day. each day ought to be a celebration of LOVE in her opinion, and that this day is especially dedicated to it? she couldn’t be more excited to celebrate it. she’s even replaced her signature blue with only red and pink today. “ c ! these look delicious! ” the red heart she had painted below her eye crinkles slightly as she grins at the present, already reaching to swipe a bit of frosting onto her finger for a taste. “ i’ll be your valentine forever and always ! ”

                   she knows, too, that while this day may be her favorite, it isn’t the same for carlos, and that makes his gesture all the sweeter, even sweeter than icing. there are few, too, that she loves as much as her best friend. in thanks she presses a quick kiss to his cheek, just pressing hard enough to assure that a red print is left behind so that he looks especially festive. “ you’re coming to binge romcoms with mal and me in our room tonight, aren’t you? we’re getting pizza and gorging on chocolates. i might be bribing jay with the treats to come. ”
