Cliche Breakdown #1 - I Can’t Stop Thinking About You
Starting ANOTHER another daily exercise topic I was thinking might be useful to start. Taking cliche lines and trying to expand them or look at them from a different angle. I’m sure there will be plenty of avenues that I don’t explore, but at least I’ll be thinking.
Basic interpretation: infatuation with someone you love in your relationship
Other angles: Addiction - Theres a need to stop thinking about them but they are unable to stop. Perhaps after a breakup or they need to get out of an abusive relationship or the other person is in a relationship with someone else. Could persist for years unknown in unrequited love or hopefully persists in an idealic relationship. Affecting health - Unable to sleep or concentrate on other things so the thoughts are ultimatley having a negative effect on the person Doubt - Worrying that the other person doesn’t feel the same way, need for validation of thoughts, feeling that you are putting more in to the relationship, lack of self confidence/trust Obsession - too much of a good thing even if the partner shares feelings, stalking if unrequited/boundaries crossed, Reasons other than love - unable to stop thinking about them for different reasons, post cheating unable to get image of them with someone else out of their mind, perhaps they are an enemy of some kind, love to hate them, traumatic event
