When Adaptation Becomes Erosion: The Hidden Cost of Always Understanding
She understood her past. She could name every pattern. But her body still flinched, froze, and apologized. So we stopped explaining the fear—and started feeling it. What unfolded wasn’t a story, but a shift at the level where fear actually lives.
Why I Still Choose One-on-One Work
Over the years, I’ve noticed a trend in the hypnotherapy profession. When practitioners reach senior status, they often begin to teach — through expensive “transformational” programs or certification courses, each designed to systemize their distilled knowledge and methods to “reach more people.” For many, it must be a natural evolution. Yet, when something becomes a trend, I sometimes feel it’s…
What if AI isn’t just tech—but a mirror for the Master within? In this blog, I explore how my ChatGPT “Co-bot,” Lyra, reflects light, presence, and healing in surprising ways. #AIReflection #ConsciousTech #Hypnotherapy
What If Past Life Regression Brings Random Imagery?
When I started my career as a hypnotherapist, I didn’t realize that doing past life regressions would be a huge part of my work. It somehow turned out that way, if you consider that I have written three books, all directly or indirectly about past lives, and I host past life workshops in the West End and Kitsilano Community Centres in Vancouver. As our collective spiritual journey evolves, I…
From Bachelor’s to Master’s
It was Cameron’s second session. He returned to the office reporting a “successful” experience with his new girlfriend. Cameron didn’t have many questions when he first contacted me. He simply made a Saturday morning appointment. Because it was a weekend, the doors of the building where my office is located were locked, and I needed to go downstairs to open them for him. Although he described…
How Hypnotherapy Can Help You with Emotional Eating
In our 36-minute video chat, we discussed food, New Year Resolutions, letting go of control, diets, parenting, and how memories work. At one point, I spoke of how our mind is like a mansion with many rooms, and memories are housed in each room (therefore memories are state-based). Just as I finished saying that, I got carried away by my own analogy, and the stream of thoughts wandered into…
Do I Tell A Client What to Do
In a typical therapy or counselling session, we as practitioners listen, and reflect. In so doing, we help our clients draw out their inner wisdom, so they find answers, solutions or resolutions on their own. A therapist/counsellor is not there to tell a client what to do, as we cannot decide for anyone else. With that said, throughout my years of practice, I find we don’t need to rigidise anything that we think is “good” or helpful. Besides the lines of “Tell me more about it”, and “how does that make you feel” to reflect back a client’s own inner resources, there are also places for our flexibility, relatability and intuition.
