These historical photographs show actress Marilyn Monroe (left) with actor Clifton Webb (center) and actress Laurette Luez (right).

The photo was taken in 1948 on the set of the comedy "Sitting Pretty", although the actresses themselves did not star in this film.The author of the picture is LIFE magazine photographer Loomis Dean.

Otto Preminger’s LAURA, starring Gene Tierney and Dana Andrews was released in NYC, New York #OnThisDay in 1944. With Clifton Webb, Vincent Price, Judith Anderson.

Vincent Price and Clifton Webb appeared in drag during a Navy Relief Show at Madison Square Garden in 1942. He was part of a routine spoofing "Floradora Sextette" - an early Broadway show featuring six women singing "Tell Me, Pretty Maiden". 

The other actors in drag were Ed Wynn, Eddie Cantor, Boris Karloff, and Danny Kaye (not shown).

Price and Webb would later appear together in the 1944 film “Laura”.
