Lucas Silveira
I have been thinking for awhile about doing a series of portraits of amazing trans people. I want to make a deck of cards with their awesome faces on one side and a short bio on the other. I want to make it into an activity I can do in trans therapy groups or lgbt trainings. I’m really tired of the whole gender 101 trainings, I want to go further and show people how lucky they are to have transgender people in the world. And what a positive thing it is to be among them or be one them. I needed to start with Lucas because he was the first trans man I was aware of. He really opened my eyes to my own identity just by existing. I’m so thankful for his example and so thankful for all the Trail Blazers that have made my journey possible.
