SA Trip: 1-20-2017

Cochamo Valley, Chile

Today will be my last full day in Valle de Cochamo. I am sad although ready to go climbing with Jorge and company. We hiked up to Pared Cecca and I showed them the spots where I had already been. Then we headed up the crag to the big overhand where I introduced everyone to Sara and Lucas. I got to lead a hard traversing route that was at least a PG rated route because some places were no-drop-zones. Meaning I would have hurt myself badly if I would have fell. MiHarvi had a hard time on a route above and kept taking whippers. It was fun to watch because he is a very skilled climber. 

We then headed back to the campsite and Jorge and MiHarvi made me dinner because I was completely out of food. I will never forget these guys. I plan on getting a hold of Jorge next time I am in Chicago. Cheers to my first real good travel friends in Chile!!
