Dear Inquisitor, I know you've heard reports of a riderless horse seemingly escaping from the stables and then returning soon after. Felt I should tell you that it's not the horse. I've been the givin' the boy ridin' lessons. Better than having him skulk around and burn turnips, heh? And he's taken to it pretty well. I've never seen a more...spirited learner. Admit it lass, you smiled at that one. All the best, Blackwall
Blackwall, I-
Creators, yes! Ma serannas. Far better for him to be learning about things in our realm then sulking about the Keep. I am thrilled to hear that Da’len Elgar is such a… spirited student. And I may have smiled at that- a little.
Truly, I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am and I am sure this has meant the world to Cole. If there is anything I can do to repay you, anything at all, I am at your disposal. Ma nevenin.
Ma serannas, Emma Vhenan.

Prompt: duty
“You speak often of your duty.”
Blackwall jumped when he heard the voice beside him. He had been sat on a fallen tree sharpening his sword, deep in thought, and hadn’t heard the approaching footsteps. Though he doubted he would have heard them even if he was paying attention. The Inquisitor was ever so light on her feet, a sign of her years training as a hunter. He glanced up to see her sat beside him, a curious look in her grey elven eyes.
“I do?” he asked.
She nodded, “Frequently. Usually of your duty as a Grey Warden… I know very little of the Wardens, only that they protect us from the Blights… I just… I don’t know what a Grey Warden’s duty is, exactly. The Dalish don’t tell many tales of Grey Wardens.”
