I've been busy decaling anything lay about on the work bench. So here the list:

1 & 2 - MDC Roundhouse 70 ton 3 bay hoppers - complete lettering for Southern, ACI tags, and wheel inspection dots.

3 - Athearn 70 ton 3 bay hopper (B&O) - Added ACI tags...

4 - Atlas 90 ton hopper (Clinchfield) - Added ACI tags and lube plates

5 - All of them lined up...

Marion, North Carolina

This is not the Seaboard Coast Line, but the former Clinchfield Railroad, at Marion, North Carolina. I was lost trying to identify this spot, so asked Jim Wrinn, Editor of Trains Magazine. After giving me the locale, he went on...

The train is southbound No. 92, which often had SCL power as it kept going after Spartanburg, South Carolina...[the photographer is] standing on the Southern Railway Spencer-Asheville line bridge.

Shipping Tag from Clinchfield Coal Corp., Dante, Va. 

This shipping tag and the attached “telegram” are historical evidence of the work done at the Clinchfield Coal Corporation. They are also evidence of what happens when two pieces of paper with different acidity are kept together. Note how the yellow telegram caused the shipping tag to discolor.
