As she wrestled the struggling scientist into position and locked him down to the table, Toni was relieved to see that her serum was working.  It had suppressed the gamma energy in his cells enough to prevent his transformation into the hulk.  That combined with the extra strong armor she was wearing meant that Bruce was helpless against her.  

“Lay still, big guy.  You’re not getting any help from big green.  You’re just going to have to relax until I’m finished.”  She shed the armor from one hand, arranging an IV with more serum.  She had to be sure that she could keep the Hulk suppressed until she was finished.  “No offense, but I’ve been given a task, one that I intend to finish.  You’re a marvel of science and I’ve finally been granted permission to figure out what makes you and the other guy tick.  I intend to do my job to the best of my ability. “  She smiled, an expression without any real joy, just a cold, calculated satisfaction.

“Goddammit,” Bruce growled, springing up from the bed like it’d suddenly been electrified beneath him. The brunette that had been bouncing astride his waist was flung aside, strewn over the pillows, and she squeaked as she gathered the sheets to cover herself. Bruce frowned at her before facing Natasha, framed in the light spilling through the open doorway. He reminded himself firmly that he had no cause to feel guilty about her walking in upon such a scene, and aimed for being indignant instead. “You forget how to knock?”

“Only as much as you’ve forgotten how to lock the front door,” Natasha replied, the edges of her mouth curling up as she glanced at the woman, still struggling to cover herself up. There was no appraising look on her expression, not even a flicker of recognition; she looked up at the man, folding her arms over her chest. 

“Or check your phone, or..” She trailed off, not caring to drive the point any further. “Tony has Friday flying a chopper in for us in twenty, you might want to see if you can get your.. uh. Guest up and out by then.”

This guy looked a little on edge. Typical Harlem tourist. Why even come here if you were gonna be nervous about getting mugged by everyone whose skin color was darker than cafe au lait.

“Bruce I don’t think this is a good idea.”  She slurred, putting her fists up.  She wasn’t sure how much training he had outside of the Hulk and all that smashing, she had quite a bit of training, she had to train herself in hand to hand combat.  Being an Avenger, and before that dealing with kidnappers and occasional attempts on her life...it was rough being a public figure. 

“Alright then.  Let’s do this.”  She swung at him, missing him completely and knocking herself off balance in the process.

“Bruce, you have to understand where I’m coming from.  We need supervision.  I didn’t know that Ross had it out for you when I got into bed with him.  I supported this because it’s the right thing. Can’t you understand that?”  She reached out, putting a hand on his arm, frowning.  “Really...I want to understand what has you so upset by this.  I value your opinions.”

Bruce swings open the door to Anthony's office and snatches him up by the ear without a word, dragging him out into the lobby and up the winding staircase.

"Wha–– what the fuck? Let me go." He tries to shove him away but Bruce's grip on his ear just make it more painful for him so he just stops trying, he has no much option but to follow him.
