The sansan community has gotten way too cliquey on LJ for my taste, and i'm not trying to police what you post or anything, but the fact that you tagged a bunch of "old-timers" who are not even real old-timers but just your friends is a cliquey thing to do lol.

Yes, you may be right indeed. But a good question is whetherthat is by choice (deliberate exclusionof new people) or by fate (groups aresmall and cliquish because there areno new people)? I have been neglecting the communities myself lately (and inany case spent time mostly on two sansan sites), so not having visibility tothe goings-on in them and most certainly not in the others, I can’t reallycomment more.

I also confess that I am not aware of an official definition ofa real and acceptable “old-timer” and used the term tongue-in-cheek – and already got rap on the knuckles for it…:-) By some interpretations I myself will certainlynot qualify, having entered fandom only in 2012 (not an “old-timer” – only“old”, LOL!)

As for tagging only my friends – isn’t that kind of understandable?I can’t very well tag people whose usernames I don’t know, can I? And this wasnot an extensive academic study with research and references thrown into it,but only admittedly purely personal comment/opinion piece, off the cuff, so thenames that came to my mind easily were of those people that I know, and know to have beenactive in LJ over the last little while (so again, not probablyqualified as real old-timers…)

But thanks for highlighting the matter!
