GG: Ron Gallo and his band are very funny and charming, as well as good musicians, at the Doc Martens day party at Clive Bar.
AB: Philadelphia’s Ron Gallo plays to a packed house at the brain-bending “let’s just float a second bungalow over the first one” Clive Bar. Tight, playful garage rock, with funny stage banter. Our spot behind the soundboard gave us great sound and an unobstructed (if distant) view of Ron Gallo playing his guitar with a “Doctor Martens” boot.
Rainey Street
Rainey Street is a few blocks of a converted residential area that now houses some of the best bars in Downtown Austin. I’m going to tell you about some of my favorite places.
Craft Pride is located at 61st Rainey St. Personally this is my favorite bar on Rainey Street. They have a great selection of craft brews, awesome patio, live music and knowledgeable staff.
