Guys it's 20 minutes to midnight here and I was considering doing a follow forever for the new year but I follow too many people so I just wanted to say this: I've only had this blog for half a year (literally!), and I've made so many new friends these past few months. I'm at a little over 900 followers, I'm in some amazing group chats, I have great mutuals and great friends, and I'm so thankful for all of you <3 So I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has talked to me, who has reblogged my posts, who has complimented my gifs, who has read my fics. You all make my day a lot brighter, mutual or not, and I just want you to know I love you, and I hope the new year brings you all great things!

Soft clizzy headcanons

 for anyone who’s feeling down about recent events

Izzy decorated a room in the insitute especially for clary so she would have her own space while she was staying there

she filled it with comforting things to help her relax because she knows how stressful her last few weeks have been, she hung fairy lights around the bedframe and filled her bookcase with books she thought clary would like, she also bought lots of soft, warm blankets and pillows and cushions for the bed.

she painted the walls a soft orange, clary’s favourite colour and also added things that reminded her of clary, lots of flowers and plants and artwork hanging on the walls 

Izzy also made sure the room was far away from all the commotion of the institute and it ended up being the place where they spend most of their time together. At the end of long, busy days, days where they barely catch a glimpse of eachother they meet there often very late at night and they stay up speaking in soft voices in the warmth and soft lighting under piles of blanket 

they also love to sit on the window seat often with blankets wrapped around them, clary sitting between izzys legs, izzys arms wrapped around her and her head on her chest as they look out the window at the stars, clary absently traces patterns on izzys arms as she plays with her hair, and they very often fall asleep like that
