I'm sorry this is so incredibly late, it's been a loooong Monday! :)
11. Five precious and meaningful objects:
1. The necklace I wear everyday. It was given to me by my now deceased grandmother as a gift for making it to nationals in 2007. I've worn it pretty much every day since.
2. The baby blanket made for me by my other grandmother.
3. A Breyer horse model of the dressage stallion Idocus, signed by Olympian Courtney King-Dye. Idocus is the sire of my 2 year old horse. Courtney is a huge inspiration for my riding. She unfortunately fell off a horse a couple of years ago without a helmet, suffered a massive brain injury, and is still recovering from that now. Her strength of will has been a huge inspiration to the entire dressage community.
4. A horsehair bracelet made from the tail of my mare. It was a surprise gift from a barn owner/friend who heard me talking to my dad about getting one made someday. She's my "heart horse" and I will probably never wear the bracelet for fear of ruining it, but it has a special box.
5. The first stuffed animal I ever had, Bun Bun. She is a bunny(obviously XD) who had a pull out body that would sing as it shrank back up to her overly large head. That's an awful description, I'm sorry lmao. She was pulled one too many times, so she's stuck in her full out form and will no longer sing. Her blue eyes have become all scratched white and she's scruffy, but I will always have her.
19. 5 things about nature
1. The ocean. I have always lived near the water, I love the sound of waves, I love swimming in it, I love going out on our little bitty speedboat and finding dolphins in the harbor.
2. Being out in the middle of nowhere without there ever really being complete silence. I love taking a good book, going out to a tree in one of our pastures, and just spending time out there. I usually don't even end up reading for very long, just sitting and daydreaming.
3. Power. Watching a massive thunderstorm roll in off the water and flood the entirety of our downtown. I used to be absolutely terrified of thunderstorms, to the point of crying and rocking on my bed while closing my eyes and covering my ears. I trained myself to become used to them and now I love them.
4. Peace. When the sky is completely blue and the sun is high in the sky with a light breeze blowing through emerald green grass and huge oak trees, that's just bliss.
5. Being alone, surrounded by trees and birds and little squirrels, and not feeling at all lonely.
