One of the most enjoyable parts of making this work is hunting down and sourcing antique wooden gingerbread clock cases to house crocheted sculptures in. I’m always on the lookout for these guys, and when I find them they are usually missing some integral wooden bits. I then carve, mold, and replicate the lost pieces to the best of my abilities and refinish the cases so that they can be repurposed as frames.
