Hi friend! ^_^ Oh, I like that question a lot! Let’s answer for Voltana of Armored Soul, she has a bit to say on this subject.

9. Do they empathize with non-sentient things (dolls, plants, books…)?

Absolutely! And there are a couple reasons why.

The first reason is that Voltana is an extremely empathetic person. She partly can’t help it, because she’s cursed with the ability to see the destructive aspects of human souls as physical beings called Ghosts. This makes her desperately want to help people deal with their personal Ghosts. It’s also because Voltana is kind and peaceful at heart, and that leads her to empathize with even inanimate objects. 

The second reason is Voltana’s spiritual beliefs. She practices a religion that believes all living things have souls. Humans, plants, animals, all of it. Her religion also says that, if an inanimate object has been around long enough or has seen enough of the world, it can acquire a soul of its own. A weapon that’s followed its wielder through countless battles eventually gets a soul of its own. A piece of pottery that’s been passed down through a family gathers a soul from those who have owned it.

So will Voltana thank the microwave for warming up her dinner? Will she give the printer a pat when it spits out her documents? Will she greet familiar trees on her walk home? Absolutely yes to all of the above.

1. First impression: peach icon…. wonder if she plays mario kart

2. Truth is: British! I did not expect that, lol. And really fun to talk to, the type of person I can have a looooong conversation with and not even notice the time go by. Super nice and sweet. Also, random, but you know how everyone kinda has their thing to show that the message they’re sending is light/casual/etc in tone because it’s hard to tell with just plain text? I notice yours is this <3 thing and that’s so cute to me
