So glad you covered that stuff abt fresians. I've known one since we were both very young (although he has no papers so we don't know his age. But, very young.) and every time someone says they love the breed the first thing I say is "no, you don't. You love the idea." Like I love my very loyal friend and companion but he's got 3 chronic illnesses and I've had to learn emergency response stuff, he's that sick. People say brushing him mist be lovely. No. His skin hurts him 24/7. It's hell

Sorry, a little belated, but! I always feel obligated to mention that stuff because folks I see are all “She’s Beauty, She’s Grace” and they never mention “She’s a major health case!”

Re: horse enrichment: a lot of my co workers will get those cheap plastic yoga balls for their horses to kick around, or rearrange the dirt in their houses (like someone made a mountain/sand castle for the horse to explore and knock over) and one horse I know has one of those hanging toys but the owner drilled holes in it and puts funky smelling herbs and stuff for the horse to explore and if you shake it treats fall out, maybe try some of these?

Equestrian dork here Re: Old West AU I work exclusively with horses that are deemed too big to be ridden safely by normal humans and I'm sitting here laughing my ass off at the idea that the only suitable rider ever for them would be someone as big as TC, who would make them look like tiny ponies. So thanks for the laughs there lol
