names and titles
(originally i was only taking notes on what characters call each other to use for my codywan magnum opus fic)
jedi say...
anakin mostly calls clones by their names, not their titles
^ "trooper" when the clone is unknown/unnamed
^ calls obi-wan "general kenobi" when talking to rex (once)
^ he occasionally addresses rex as "captain"
obi-wan mostly uses names, but also often uses titles
^ obi-wan calls cody "commander" in the movie (early war?)(just sometimes?)
^ when cody greets them with "general [lastname]", obi-wan responds "cody :)"
when obi-wan and anakin are talking to each other, they don't use titles for rex and cody
^ anakin just calls him "rex" when talking to ahsoka
ahsoka almost always calls clones by their names
^ she calls rex "captain" in the blue shadow virus arc, but its life-or-death and shes giving him a direct order
aayla and luminara use titles for clones
yoda doesn't use titles, and only sometimes uses names
plo koon mostly uses titles, but occasionally drops it for wolffe
not clone related - both anakin and obi-wan use padme's name and almost never use her title, which is really funny. padme only remembers to use their titles when talking about them to a 3rd party
clones say...
clones always use titles (for jedi, and higher-ranked clones they're not close with)
"general(s)" and "sir(s)" consistently
^ anakin and ahsoka IMMEDIATELY know rex has been brainwarshed when he says "anakin"
rex DOES drop ahsoka's titles a few times - "ahsoka, it's me, rex" and "ahsoka ordered it"
cody and rex still use titles when talking about jedi that arent present
^ an unnamed clone drops anakin's title and just says "skywalker" when gossiping
cody and rex do not use titles for each other
^ rex sometimes calls cody "commander" during missions
cody knows slick by name and uses his name, not his rank. rex does too
slick calls rex by rank, and uses "sir" for him and cody
slick's men similarly use "sir" and/or rank for higher ranked clones
cody calls the squad "gentleman"
CODY CALLS ONE OF THEM "SON." SCREASMS.
rex calls either fives or echo "kid"
^ REXXXX ALSO CALLS AHSOKA KID.
cody doesn't refer to waxer or boil by rank
the rest - other language used, character notes, and setting stuff - below the cut!
language used:
CODY OUT! 🫡
fives and echo each say "hell"
cody says heck. he's a heck-sayer. my fucking goat
cody says "rex old boy" the raisin bran eating fuck
^ ahsoka also says that later? is that just a rex nickname?? or was she mimicking cody???
ahsoka also calls rex "rexster"
ahsoka also also calls someone "gramps" but i didnt write down who (probs anakin tho)
rex calls helmets "sun bonnets" (dweeb)
count dooku uses the phrase "godforsaken"
rex calls slick a "piece of rankweed"
anakin: "that sleemo"
ahsoka: "we're not gonna last a mynock minute!"
one of yoda's squad: "theres no figuring a jedi master" (shrugs and shakes head)
about cloudy atmosphere: "this soup is thick"
CLANKERS!!! its so funny how often and with how much intensity they say clankers
i hate "seppies" though. stop fucking saying that CODY!
they also call droids: tinny, tweezers, rollies (droidekas)
someone (i think ahsoka?) called Grevious "general clanker"
the lead ship in a squad of fighters was called "mother bird"
axe: "come on, you whiners, let's get dirty"
idr what a trooper said to warrant it, but when he sees that it upset ahsoka he immediately follows up with "i meant no offense, commander"
"Commander on deck!"
ANAKIN SAID POODOO. jarjar's foul influence...
character stuff:
cody makes rex fly him around
anakin calls cody boring
cody and rex often communicate nonverbally
clones consistently refer to each other as "brother(s)" as much or more than they say "clone(s)"
at one point rex kinda has to remind anakin that he has to follow ahsoka's orders (even if he doesnt like them)
anakin doesnt like ahsoka's flying. also he yells at her for talking during mission - "CUT THE CHATTER!"
^ he later lets her fly his starfighter....
the opening narration for the rishi outpost ep (fives + echo's intro) says "new clones are rushed into service [...] before their intense training is complete"
rex goes on a bit of a power trip during rishi outpost mission bc cody put him in charge - bossy to shinies, "thats captain to you"
the rishi crew knows cody by name before he gets there
while rex gets mad, cody starts planning
cody is a sarcastic bitch. MY FUCKING GOAT.
^ @ rex (finding spy) "what do you think, he just sat down and wrote a note?"
^ @ slick (protesting that his men will be upset abt traitor) (cuts him off) "your men are tough."
one of slick's men is nervous to talk to rex (tbf hes being interrogated) and explicitly says he's nervous bc rex is his CO
clones dont say "contraband", they say "forbidden items" (maybe bc kid audience dont know the word contraband, but if its intentional thats so fucked up and weird)
unfortunately cody gets his ass beat by slick. as does rex. my 2 flops<3
^ cody does better after he tackles slick to the ground #codyisgrapplertruther
during slick's lil sermon - cody looks so bothered and doesnt join rex in bitching him out
^ he only chimes in when slick says he loves his brothers - cody: "if you loved your brothers, you wouldn't have put them at risk."
^ bc cody loves his brothers. btw.
^ this is making me crazy
^ he was sooo bothered like i think cody is smart enough to realize slick was a little right #slickwasright . whereas rex saw the sitch in a very black-and-white traitor=bad way
^ ill never recover from this one line tbh
rex hearing one of anakin's worst plans of all times: "well, this plan is...... questionable......"
rex passes an order from mace windu to anakin and anakin gives a sassy comeback and rex immediately says "i'll tell him that 🫡"
literally everyone clowns on anakin for not following orders
padme about clones dying of blue shadow virus: "what a waste" :( rex: "all due respect, its what these men were born to do."
when obi wan finds out he's not getting reinforcements, he asks his squad "who's up for a challenge?" to which waxer replies "here we go again". the fatigue in his voice implies obi does this shit to them often
obi-wan is known for using "deceptive maneuvers"
the mando dad instinct takes longer to set in for some (boil)
i thought i was ready for the saber hand-off but nno one told me that cody doesnt even SAY anything. hes so nonchalant!!!
cody's "QUIET ROOKIE." is in response to the rookie oohing and aahhing over obi-wan. like yeah whatever our generals an awesome wizard move onnnn. hes so fucking #sickofit
numa (twilek girl) has a dad. for some reason this made my heart hurt so much more than if she had a mom
^ i think its bc waxer and boil's time with her is the closest either of them will ever get to fatherhood but it wasnt that pivotal to her because she already has a dad. its not like shes an orphan who lost her father, they get reuinited. she continues to have a dad after the episode but they. uyea h
when obi-wan tells them "nerra" means brother. do you thin k that hurt him too.
setting stuff:
lights in the LAAT go red when they're standing by to deploy, then green to jump
communication fails - "their comm-links are on a different scramble set"
luminara's star destroyer is named Tranquility (this is on the wiki im sure i just like it a lot)
there are med droids in the infirmary that presumably handle the less serious injuries (a clone went in, saw a droid, and returned to his barracks the same night)
^ during one of anakin's trips to the infirmary, he's treated only by a med droid
^ there are several other scenes in which characters are only treated by a med droid
clones killing time with arm-wrestling
some of the clones carry electric stun grenades that they call "droid poppers"
THE BARRACKS!
^ they have pinups all over the walls (i saw at least 4 distinct posters)
^ there are also pinups in the rishi outpost, including in their central operations room (boys.)
^ the same pinups appear a 3rd time on the planet iego
^they prop up their blasters against the wall and rest their helmets on top
^ everyone was still in armor except for their helmets
^ they have bunkbeds<3 they all have 1 pillow but i dont see any blankets
^ there are large metal storage crates (presumably 1 per clone but i didnt count)
clones are forbidden from taking certain items from the battlefield, which includes parts from battledroids
^ they specifically say "forbidden" and not "contraband" (as prev.)
^ one clone had strung together battledroid fingers as a necklace, and was (at first) willing to lie and be suspected as a traitor rather than admit it
theres a ruined head of a buddha statue on naboo??
when rex receives opposing orders from anakin/obi-wan and chairman cho (leader of a republic member world), he has to obey the chairman. im. im not sure why
sometimes the jedi have cute lil backpackies
the LAAT used by obi-wan and the squad containing cody, wooley, waxer, and boil has beautiful nose art of Salacious B. Crumb (or a member of his species)
boil pulls a ration of some kind out of his pouch that looks like a cheese stick
cleaning R2 units is mentioned as a punishment
i wrote these notes on half-sheets of 8.5x11s (old bills, papers from class, etc). at one point i had four of these half-sheets on my desk at once. which is a normal way to watch a television show.

names, titles, language, and quotes
titles:
this season continues the trends from last-
obi-wan, anakin, and ahsoka rarely use the titles for clones or for jedi ranked the same or lower than them
^ ex. anakin and ahsoka call luminara and ki-adi mundi "master" while obi-wan does not
^ they tend to use Yularen's title even though he's ranked below the generals (not sure abt ahsoka) - so something about yularen (his rank, origin, career?) makes them speak to/about him differently than ex. Cody
^ the 1st instance i noticed of obi-wan saying "commander cody" was in ep 9, meaning he (probably) didnt use his title at all through the cad bane situation or geonosis 2. the context in ep 9 is that he's giving orders in a battle while surrounded by other jedi incl. the council
^ again noticed anakin using "trooper" for an unnamed clone - does this count as a rank?
^ anakin recognizes redeye('s corpse) and addresses him by name
^ obi-wan seems to use rex's rank when addressing him- i noticed him saying "captain" twice
other jedi (mundi, plo koon, luminara) typically use titles for clones and jedi ranked higher than them
^ ex. luminara sometimes uses obi-wan's and always uses yoda's, but doesn't use anakin's
clones almost always use the proper titles/terms of respect for anyone higher ranking than them, and dont use titles for clones ranked the same or lower than them
^ exception if they're really close: rex usually just says "cody" and sometimes says "ahsoka" w/o titles
^ another commander on geonosis (bacara??) just says "cody"
while radioing an unfamiliar vessel, rex IDs himself as a "clone captain rex", not just a reg. captain. he uses his name and not his number, tho
language:
ahsoka seems to have picked up "sleemo" from anakin (furthering my "anakin swears like a sailor and it infects R2 and ahsoka and probably rex" agenda)
things rex calls troopers: grunts, lads,
command to trooper: "double time"
anakin on LAAT getting ready to deploy: "buckle your belts and check your cells!"
a fuckign battle droid says "oh my god"
someone referred to someone else as "the good general" but i didnt write down who :(( i think it was obi about grevious but idr
ahsoka calls master sinube "gramps" to his face - does she use it like a term of endearment?
crasher, the sargeant overseeing the clone youth brigade, addresses the group as "men"
another clone calls baby boba "son"
bossy cadet: "secure the loose talk"
quotes that i wrote down:
(ahsoka's not following orders) anakin: "is she winning?"
(ahsoka gets assigned guard duty (bitch work) (see prev)) ahsoka: "what?! for how long?" - mace windu: "longer now."
anakin (presenting a dumbass plan): "we're gonna board" rex: "we have no boarding craft...." (anakin doesnt say anything just stares at him) rex: "AWAITING ORDERS SIR!"
mace, laughing: "of course it's a trap" (so theyre all like that)
obi-wan: "we'll be fine, cody. please stay and watch the ship." cody, audibly disappointed: "i'll keep it warm for you."
cody, in the middle of the battle for geonosis 2, FAR more tenderly than he had just been speaking: (sees obi-wan limp up) "are you injured, general?" (so tenderly i cant stress enough)
cody kinda for no reason: "rex is a smart man..."
(anakin mentions yoda's rule abt no attachments) obi-wan: yes, but he usually leaves out the undercurrents of remorse"
hondo: "this effort is no longer... profitable!"
hondo: (sees baby boba) "not mine, is he?"
below the cut:
characters, settings, and LAAT/etc nose art
character notes:
rex liked anakin's dumbass plan mentioned above
no one made fun of rex for bonking his head on a pipe and tbh that made me mad... maybe theyre too locked in during the mission but they should absolutely razz him later
admiral yularen is so fucking sick of anakin
^ also he's ranked high enough to backtalk anakin to his face
when anakin is ducking obi-wan's (and the council's) messages, he says obi-wan will send a clone squad out to search for him
the whole council clocks anakin during the cuck episode
cody wasn't on geonosis the first time! (i had to revise the first few scenes of my fic over it)
during the battle of geonosis (the main part, not the catacombs mission) cody stops firing his rifle as soon as their square is set up - he's Cody the Coordinator, getting constant messages from runners and from his comms, trying to figure out where everyone is, etc etc
^ in the catacombs, cody waits at the exit path while everyone else leaves past him, and only leaves once everyone else is out
^ he also stops mid-flee to pick up a vode that stumbled
anakin and ahsoka do the legolos and gimli kill count contest
^ ki-adi mundi clowns on their asses
when anakin and ahsoka throw rex off that cliff, 2 other clones look up at him with pity in their visors
obi-wan still presents a battle strategy while flopped on the ground and seriously hurt
when the jedi charge, they move so fast the vode following them are nearly in a dead sprint (and still shooting)
luminara says anakin and ahsoka "play loose with regulations and rules of command"
^ they're fully arguing in the middle of gotdamn geonosis when she says this so.
when barris is introduced, anakin looks at ahsoka expectantly and ahsoka looks nervous? (bites her lip before speaking)
ahsoka tells barris that anakin is "a bit radical" and thinks he'll dislike peacetime
ahsoka says Trap (squad leader - sarge or Lt.) was her friend :(
while plo is in a council call, wolffe leans in to whisper something to him
obi-wan is beefing with grevious so much that he almost sacrifices his own escape from an exploding ship to keep chasing him (just like anakin did with cad bane earlier in the season). however, obi-wan comes to his senses (thanks to adi galla)
rex may have had nerve damage after being shot in the chest - could be lingering? chronic pain?
when cut (deserter clone) says he chose to not kill for a living, rex's response is "that's not your choice to make"
cut didn't expect rex to have a name......
rex says he's never really thoguht about how having a name makes him unique/individual
his responses to cut during this scene feel frantic and rehearsed, as if he's afraid of what cut is arguing for, and has been trained on what to say in response
^ this gave me the same vibes as corporate anti-union training...
most (or all?) of cut's team was killed in geonosis 1. afterwards, he felt like his meaning in life was gone
^ cut's team included vode he grew up with, who he considered to be his family
^ rex has also lost vode he thought of as family :(
cut calls rex "sir" only to give him shit after rex started instinctively barking orders
rex is soooo desperate to help out in the fight at cut's homestead - is it guilt? is he afraid of feeling useless??
satine describes obi-wan as a "collection of half-truths and hyperbole"
obi-wan is on edge for the entire satine arc - he's irritable, much quicker to snap at or sass people, etc
cody interrupts the obitine post-merrick post-confession Conversation and i had to stand up and pace.
after basically dodging the confession, obi says "some other time...." bc he knows. always some other time.
padme gets defensive when she thinks mon mothma is patronizing her; mon mothma's reassurance is almost motherly?
in the ep. after his satinetuationship, obi-wan seems to be flirting with the zabrak bounty hunter Sugi
ahsoka accidentally slaps anakin right on his burns
rando vod CT-1477 hands baby boba his blaster when bbyboba asks what model it is, but tells him to keep the safety on. did he think boba just wanted to see it??
aurra stops boba from drinking
setting notes:
when ahsoka gets in trouble for the not following orders allegations, she has to stand before the council with anakin and is assigned guard duty as a punishment
the jedi archives have some texts which are forbidden to read, and which ahsoka heard about from obi-wan (hes her bad influence uncle?)
several doors/panels in the jedi temple are locked with force-locks
rex leads two battalions which are named Execute and Carnivore
for first-aid, waxer (or boil) gives obi-wan some kind of injection in his neck
in a pause in the battle, anakin orders his troopers to top off their energy cells and ration packs
after battle, clones being carried on stretchers to ships
a squad leader (Trap i think) fires his blaster to wake up his napping squad
i forgot to include this in s1 but thankfully it reappears: the GAR relies on a satellite medstation where clones who are injured in battle get sent. this facility is staffed by both clones and kaminoans. more have been established over the course of the war
standard barracks on a cargo vessel:
^ ahsoka and barris in a bare room with 2 beds built into either wall; blankets with GIANT republic sigil but no blankies
^ clones in a longer room with 5 bunk beds (10 vode) per wall - 20 total in 1 room
^ the clones sleep in grey jammies** - 2pc turtleneck and pants, big republic sigil on chest
^ the clones also have pillows but no blankets... i guess bc the ship's climate controlled....... i wouldve given them blankies tho.....
**when rex is injured in the ep he meets Cut, he removes his armor and wears only what was underneath... which is the gray jammies i saw in the brainworms ep.... are they alleging that those are their underarmour blacks?? not fucking black are they. im seething
^ regardless, i must respect the evidence presented. the clones appear to sleep in their underarmour blacks (which arent black)
ok so clones can have kids. idk why i assumed they were made sterile but i was surprised
^ sorryyyy but... i would've made them sterile? seems like such a bad idea for so many reason to have several million fertile clones monkeying around the galaxy - especially if the kaminoans want to retain proprietary control over their "products"?
coruscant has a slums district that everyone calls The Slums District
at one point on coruscant, a large screen shows palpatine giving a speech denying the accusation that the jedi created the clone war to gain more power in the government. he immediately follows this iwht a plea for the senate to pass new laws giving the jedi more jurisdiction in [cuts off]
^ in a later episode, a similar video of palp comes on like an emergency broadcast. he says he's sure the jedi will resolve the issue, and immediately follows with "as for the accusations that the jedi created the clone war...". presumably this message is played any time there's a disaster.
2 corrie guards are shown patrolling with big kite-shaped riot shields
mandalorian architecture is delightfully brutalist
the mando terrorist (who's dying tbf) barely pronounces the final "e" in "Kote"
Kamino got seats in the senate after the war began, using their creation of the clones as leverage
groups (outfits) of clone cadets are assigned tours of duty to experience what active duty will be like
^ boba's cover story is that he's from the 322nd outfit; another cadet comments that they already had their tour
mace's quarters are shown on the Endurance: he has a single bunk built into the wall with a mattress and pillow. a large monitor hangs from the wall opposite the pillow. an inset shelf inside the bunk has a vase on it. it looks like he had a desk and maybe a coffee table opposite from the bunk
LAAT/other ship nose art:
two angles on the LAAT containing some of plo's forces:
on the LAAT obi-wan takes to geonosis 2 (and several other ships under his command):
i didnt write down whose ship this was... sorry..... :
those are the only 3 i saw!
overall season 2 had some BANGER eps. i wacthed a lot of s1 in picture-in-picture mode while also drawing, but i kept having to tab back over and fullscreen it this season because the eps were too good. im excited to start s3!
season 1 | season 2 | season 3 | season 4 | season 5 | season 6 | season 7
so normally i make the notes posts first and do the clone tallies after bc the tallies are so quick and easy... but this season i did the tally first bc it was in a different format... and then i forgot to do the notes post for a while... praying i still remember what all my notes mean.....
names, titles, language, and quotes
titles:
to quickly restate the general trends:
obi-wan, anakin, and ahsoka rarely use the titles for clones, although other jedi typically do. all jedi tend to use (jedi) titles for jedi ranked higher than them or jedi they dont know very well.
clones almost always use the proper titles/terms of respect for anyone higher ranking than them, and often dont use titles for clones ranked the same or lower than them
instead of listing data for these trends, i'm gonna focus on instances that deviate from them:
on onderon, ahsoka introduces herself as "commander tano" (jedi rarely use military titles over jedi titles)
the jedi initiates usually say "padawan tano", but sometimes just Ahsoka
obi-wan refers to himself as "general kenobi" when speaking over the negotiator's intercomm
once ahsoka is arrested, fox stops using her title and just says "ahsoka"
ahsoka stops calling anakin "master" after her jailbreak
language:
a pilot: "this is valkyrie 29-29, we're coming up on the drop zone"
anakin calls them the "five-oh-ones"
while talking to anakin, obi-wan refers to ahsoka as "our padawan"
a droid describes the younglings as "miniature" jedi, which has sooo many implications. are they not programmed to recognize children? or (more likely) are they capable of recognizing children and jedi separately, but not when those categories overlap?? chilling.
gregor remembered or retained "clankers"
when fox finds the bodies of clones during ahsoka's jailbreak, he says over the comms: "Suspect has killed 3 clones. Code red. If you see the target, shoot to kill."
^ anakin tells fox to "belay that order"
^ throughout this incident, the verbage is always that ahsoka killed "clones" or "troopers"
they put out an All Points Bulletin on her
quotes i wrote down:
hondo: traitors... scum! i'm so proud... but so betrayed!
hondo: "hondo ohnaka survives EVERY time"
obi: "i cut one of them in half once and he survived"
ani (gently): "snips, are you... losing focus?"
the lightsaber-building droid @ the jedi initiates: "these are them? i swear they get younger every expedition."
ahsoka: "if you don't let me go, you'll wish you'd been born a protocol droid..." hondo: "sometimes i do anyway"
i wrote down "every line from hondo ohnaka"
R2 (translated): "droids aren't flexible because we're programmed to be right the first time."
gregor: "i'll make my way home, i promise!"
yoda: "understand your feelings i do, obi-wan"
anakin: "there are going to be jedi who disappoint us, ahsoka. but as long as we know there are jedi doing what's right, it makes the fight worthwhile"
barriss: "the evidence seems clear, ahsoka. nothing will ever change." (said pre-reveal)
anakin to ahsoka after jailbreak: "I would never let anyone hurt you - never."
below the cut -
character and setting notes
character:
obi-wan cut off sauváuge's arm! jedi committing dismemberment...
anakin suggests some light terrorism, which divides the council - mace is on his side, while obi-wan and yoda are against it
anakin notices that ahsoka is upset about lux
anakin checks in with ahsoka about her orders to stay on onderon, and offers her the option to return to coruscant (i wrote "ani is winning this arc")
initiate petra says he wants to challenge obi-wan kenobi to a duel, and kill general grevious
a youngling says "THE general kenobi??" so this group hasnt met him?
obi reacts to death of a trooper: "you'll regret that"
R2 backsasses a battle droid - cusses him out??
hondo is the dad who stepped up with these younglings
hondo has an implied child soldier tragic backstory
hondo is guilt-trippable by children (but not ahsoka)
you can tell even with his bucket on that cody hates hondo.
R2 tazes someone (i dont remember why i wrote this down)
gregor returns to his shitty apartment and necks a bottle of alcohol (looks like wine but its space so idk)
when gregor starts to remember his past, he remembers "bodies... bodies everywhere"
copying what i wrote verbatim: "ahaha. surely clones aren't predisposed to get scraps and be grateful and work hard to repay the person keeping them there"
say what you want about pre viszla, he was metal af for how he faced his death
obi-wan takes anakin's ship (the twilight). a part breaks, and he says "last time i borrow a ship from you >:(" unclear if he actually asked anakin or just took it
when satine and obi-wan reunite, i wrote "most awkward hug ever". he doesn't pull away, but he's ready to
obi-wan hadn't met bo-katan, and didn't even know about her??
in the bombed part of the temple, anakin could still hear the screams echoing in the force
fox stands up to anakin because hes the best.
when fox walks in on ahsoka mid-jailbreak standing conspicuously over some dead clones, he reaches for his guns. when he sees ahsoka's sabers, he instead goes for the emergency button
corries don't fire on ahsoka initially, and call out for her to stop
fox argues against general skywalker about not shooting ahsoka, argues that she killed troopers
rex is very reluctant to say over comms that ahsoka killed clones
mace doesn't want to send anakin after ahsoka. obi-wan supports anakin with unwavering faith. yeowch!
barriss beat asajj with a pipe!
anakin is a restless pacer
obi-wan was comming in throughout this arc, but returns to coruscant in person for ahsoka's trial
when ahsoka leaves the order, anakin goes after her. obi-wan starts to go after him, but plo koon stops him
setting:
a droid commander issues the order "shoot to kill", implying that they aren't always doing that?
during a speech, the onderon king's voice is amplified without a visible microphone?
the Gathering is the ritual wherein initiates gather kyber crystals to build their lightsabers. ahsoka leads 6 initiates for this ritual - unclear if a padawan usually leads this, or if she's here because the war is spreading Knights too thin
^ however, yoda is waiting at the temple. also unclear if the Grand Master always fulfills this role, or if any master would suffice
jedi wookies are rare, but wookies aren't opposed to the jedi - just less commonly force-sensitive? droid guesses his people must be proud
clone commanders typically remove their helmets when they're on the bridge
the "nasty ass seppies" (my note) leave vode bodies still at their stations when they take over the Negotiator
also the negotiator was destroyed ~20bby, approximately a year before the start of Revenge of the Sith
Military Analyst is a noncombatant leadership position - we see an analyst with the rank of Colonel
that colonel assumes he can give orders to gregor (after memory loss) and have him obey - shouldn't he assume that gregor has deserted? are clones not allowed to desert to the point where the GAR doesnt even recognize it when they do???
every clone has an ID barcode in their wrist. astromechs can scan - all of them, or just R2? or all republic droids?
there's a protest at the jedi temple. someone holds a sign of a clone helmet crossed out >:(
there are prison cells below the temple?
the public opinion on jedi is very low at this point
barriss's temple bombing killed 5 jedi.
^ the funeral is heavily attended: includes shaak ti and obi-wan, who weren't on coruscant in the previous episode, as well as most council jedi, chancellor palpatine, bail organa, mon mothma, several GAR admirals (nat-born), several clones in bridge-grays, and a whole bunch of nondistinct jedi
^ a few scenes after the funeral (i would guess btw 30 minutes and an hour in-world) obi-wan is comming in to a council meeting. he must have DIPPED.
wolffe is in lower coruscant for about 5 minutes and gets his ass beat. you know fox is clowning on him for that one
no nose art this time - i wrote "corrie LAATs don't have nose art :("
season 1 | season 2 | season 3 | season 4 | season 5 | season 6 | season 7
so close to being finished with the series!! this season was a BANGER too, my goodness gracious
names, titles, language, and quotes
names:
palpatine calls anakin "my boy"
fives says "no clone uses their number, not anymore". so at this point, it would be unusual for a fully-grown deployed clone to not have a name?
also, "sir" is gender neutral in the GAR
quotes i wrote down:
rex: "we were designed to withstand any stress" (re: could PTSD have caused tup to do that)
fives to tup: "we'll be having a drink together in no time"
fives makes fun of anakin's tiny lil binocular scope: "are your scopes… jedi issue, sir?" (ani: "stay focused")
rex: "there must be a hundred droids in that hanger [...] this is stretching it even for YOU, sir."
^ anakin: "rex, you're beginning to sound like obi-wan"
a coruscant cabbie: "i didn't know clones could have fun!"
kix: "what can i do, how can i help?"
yoda, about jar-jar: "the innocence of a child, this gungan has"
(setup: anakin says, "dooku! for once you've come to do your own dirty work.) dooku, cuntily: "some things are just that important."
yoda to mace: "valiant men, the clones have proven to be. save my life and yours, they have, many times. believe in them, we must."
yoda to anakin: "disobeying the council, your expertise is."

tup walked up to general tiplar and looked her in the eyes before he shot her. she saw him but did not sense killing intent.
out of everyone who shows up to his cell, tup only talks to fives
all the clones in the hanger (including vode just working) stop to watch tup leave
@ the wrecked shuttle, rex and anakin appear to be checking the faces of dead vode (probably looking for tup's tattoo)
when assigned to go w/ tup to kamino, fives says yessir with his entire body
rex removes his helmet to greet shaak ti
"the mission in our dreams that never ends" ok.
lama su (kaminoan doctor) calls the jedi a cult
fives, despite being restrained and sedated, tries to stand at attention when he sees palpatine
anakin fully believes in fives's innocence
fives thinks of the jedi as his friends
i saw two clones at the bar, one with his arm around the other <3
jesse and kix go to 79s for date night
i clipped it + will post shortly, but the rowdy clones outside (who threw their bottles at a cab....) go into the bar and cheer for the 212th. i know they're getting their ASSES beat for this one.
i wrote "kix is feeling himself hes so me"
fox tells fives to stand down, then tells him not to go for the gun. he only fires after fives picks up the gun
rex cradles fives as he dies and is outwardly distraught. rex shakes him, says "stay with me"
THE NIGHTMARES. i have SOOO many thoughts about the MISSION IN OUR DREAMS THAT NEVER ENDS.
the corrie guards remove their helmets in respect as fives dies.
^ fox is not in the circle of corries around fives at the end of the scene.........
anakin is in the palp meeting head in hands.
yoda clocks palp a lil here....
palp is making way too many hologram calls to way too many fucking people. goodness gracious. like obviously he has to call dooku and grevious and such, but random bounty hunters?? peepops someone's gonna recognize your fucking voice....
half the council is at palp's meeting about Rush Clovis
palp instructs padme to work closely with clovisn - he knows anakin is jealous
^ yoda clocks this
anakin goes to his room at the temple to sulk <3
^ obi walks in unannounced + without knocking. and starts touching stuff.
yoda confirmed clocked palp clocking anakin being jealous of clovis, AND he told obi-wan.
obi-wan has his back to anakin for almost all of the Padme Confrontation.
^ he brings up SATINE.
^ obi-wan is very cold at the end of the conversation - does he know/suspect anakin is lying?
padme stands up to anakin after he BEAts the fuck out of clovis. she specifically says "i dont feel safe"
padme takes a gun from a droid and it fucks
mace windu is not having a fucking BAR of jar-jar binks
jar-jar has game fucking unfortunately.
obi-wan is working with the felucians, who speak a "difficult dialect" for him to Negotiate with
plo koon has the wolffepack symbol on his glove!
setting:
clone helmets and suits are sealed and oxygenated? several vode in buckets survive their ship's hull rupturing
there's a softshell vod in the medbay, which could mean that the clone staff working in medbays are a separate force from the clone medics on the battlefield, such as kix
the clones on kamino wear medium gray paint (lighter than wolffe's battalion)
kamino has proprietary rights to clone DNA, which often cases conflict because the republic has command of the clones themselves
when the kaminoan doctor and prime minister are discussing the inhibitor chips, they describe them as "a safeguard against betrayal by rogue jedi." its unclear how much they truly know about order 66
when tup is revealed to have a "tumor", fives responds "is that even possible?" and the med droid has never seen it before. did the kaminoans cure cancer?? or maybe clones just dont live long enough for it to be a problem...
after fives discovered the inhibitor chips, the kaminoans intended to "wipe his mind" and put him on sanitation detail. chilling implications there
tipoca city as emergency access hatches in every major room in case of flooding
fives walks through a classroom full of cadets in order to get to the clone embryos. the cloning facilities may be grouped by age, with embryos, infants, and child clones near each other, and older clones a bit separate.
clone embryos are stored in pylons of 96. each pylon consists of a tower with 8 discs, and there are 12 embryos per disc. its hard to tell from the shots in this scene, but there are dozens of pylons in the room fives is in, meaning thousands of clone embryos stored in just this one room.
the embryos are grouped in 3 stages. i would imagine these correlate roughly to a pregnancy in trimesters, although im sure clone embryos gestate faster than unmodified humans. we know that adult clones' developmental age is roughly 2.2 times their chronological age, but we don't know if that 2.2x pace is consistent throughout their entire lives. its possible that gestation is much faster or much slower than growth after birth.
the inhibitor chips are implanted while clones are still embryos, by stage 2. (again, i would guess stage 2 is about equal to 14-28 weeks for an unmodified human, but these embryos are probably younger than that)
fives stiffs his cab driver, and the cabbie responds, "lousy cheap clones!" this might be a regular occurrence for people. are clones just not paying for shit??
79s layout (i might make a diagram): there's a huge bar in the center which seems to go all the way around. there's seating on the ground floor away from the bar. it has a balcony section
^ the bathroom is labelled "LATRINE"
^ the bar itself is on a skyscraper fairly high up. i was initially surprised bc on coruscant height correlates directly to wealth... but when i think about it more, the bar was probably created by (or at least in cooperation with) the GAR.
^ 1 bathroom stall is labelled "out of order"
^ bathroom door interior is covered in pinups
^ its like always sunny paddy's fucking pub in here i know it.
79s is full of a mix of clones in armor and in uniform grays. i didn't see any clones in casual wear, implying that they dont have fucking clothes other than issued uniforms.
^ only saw 1 clone dancing (and yeah he was busting it down), several others in chairs just vibing. otherwise they mostly stand/sit in groups chatting
graffiti:
i cant make out everything, but the ram is marked "5's sister"
fox is on guard in palpatine's office
anakin's bedroom at the temple is so fall of parts, projects, and crates, that i didnt see the bed and assumed it was his workshop.
senatoprs have a voting pad with a yes/no option built into their senate booth
jedi seem to have their own booth in the senate ??
mother talzin says she's not naturally force-sensitive, and uses dark magic to acquire power
^ unclear if this is the case for most nightsisters? it certainly isnt for asajj....
the jedi council meditates for a full day nonstop. no wonder anakin bitches about them being slow
i have a few cheeky posts in the works, mostly about 79s. then its on to season 7, and im done!!
season 1 | season 2 | season 3 | season 4 | season 5 | season 6 | season 7
this season was surprisingly clone-light :((
before we begin, i wanna share this line from my notes that i forgot about until now:
[handwritten much larger than lines around it: "MASter chief. is here." next to that, smaller again: "im not addressing the red jammies."]
names, titles, language
names & titles:
as with prev seasons, obi-wan, anakin, and ahsoka rarely use the titles for clones or for jedi ranked lower than them
^ i wrote down "another 'Sir' vs 'Cody' conversation" wrt to cody and obi-wan talking
other jedi (mundi, plo koon, luminara) typically use titles for clones and jedi ranked higher than them, or jedi they dont know as well
^ plo doesn't use anakin's title, but anakin uses plo's
^ quinlan just calls obi "kenobi", but still calls cody "commander"
^ anakin calls ghost qui-gon "master"
^ ahsoka addresses him as "master kenobi", but usually just says "obi-wan" when talking to someone else
^ obi-wan greets him as "master piell"
clones almost always use the proper titles/terms of respect for anyone higher ranking than them, and often dont use titles for clones ranked the same or lower than them
^ they also almost always use military titles (general, commander) instead of jedi titles (master, knight). i did catch 1 clone, reporting to the jedi abt the deaths of a master and pad. (killed by savááauuge), say "master" instead of "general"
in the flashback episode, echo calls fives by his whole ass number.
99 calls shaak ti "mistress". i didnt catch anyone else calling her that
cody uses rex's title during a strategy meeting
padme doesn't use ahsoka's title. she doesnt use anakin's or obi-wan's either, but it kinda struck me that she has now dropped ahsoka's even in front of others
in the domino squad flashback episode: fives has already decided on his name (was probs easy to pick); "echo" gets called that a lot but hasnt fully accepted it; Cutup chooses his name from smth his bounty hunter trainer says; Hevy is named by 99
^ if we assume the age at which domino squad get their names is typical for clones in general, we can assume that clones generally have chosen names around the time that they graduate - with exceptions for early/late name-ees
language:
new slang for droids just dropped! one of the domino squad boys calls them "chrome domes"
someone calls 99 a "bad batcher". this seems to be an in-universe term for "defective" clones, not just those who fail during training. also this is obvs where the show name comes from.
below the cut -
character and setting notes
character:
shaak ti refuses to drink offered alcohol
^ in s1 obi-wan and anakin famously end up chained to count fucking dooku because they got crunk at a function. so either shaak ti not drinking is a personal choice instead of a jedi thing, or obi-wan and anakin are dogshit jedi
rex and cody both seem to know 99
^ rex is upset (cries out) at 99's death. cody doesn't react strongly at that moment, but seems upset after the battle
obi wan winces when he says "representative binks"
finally got to one of the fabled scenes of anakin and padme openly flirting while rex is 5ft behind them forced to bodyguard.
cody looooooooves parade rest
cody knows quinlan's reputation - from vode gossip? possibly from corries?? (not sure where quinlan operates at this point)
quinlan slaps obi-wan on the shoulder. twice in one scene.
its established that padme is still young and not super respected in the galactic senate. at one point, palpatine refers to her as "the young senator from naboo"
i mightve posted a screenie but i think this season has the first depiction of one of padme's hairpieces off of her head
padme heard about satine from obi-wan
dooku did notttt want to kill ventress. he dutch-angled about it
we see in a flashback that asajj's hair is naturally purple
ahsoka is now a great mechanic!!
the citadel mission featured a bunch of clone deaths:
^ when longshot goes down, cody lingers long enough that obi-wan tells him to keep moving
^ when echo dies*, fives similar gets stuck for a minute and has to be told to move
^ rex looks down at a clone's body as he passes, but w/ his bucket on i cant tell how hes feeling. im guessing not great
setting:
the kamino medbay is staffed by both droids and kaminoans. there looked to be an equal number of each
the clones in the medbay are wearing leggings with feet? like tights?
bounty hunters were hired to oversee the clones' training
if domino squad had failed their final test, they would be reassigned to maintenance with the other "reject" clones
clones get a lil medal when they graduate to Troopers
whenever a battle involves simultaneous air and ground combat, anakin leads in the air and obi-wan leads on the ground
when unfrozen from carbonite: the jedi are sleepy but upright and seem unbothered. echo, cody, and rex stumble a lil and cough for a lil while after. fives falls to his knees briefly and is also coughing a lot
for master piell's field funeral, they wrap him in fabric (that they got where??) and force-lift him into the nearby lava river
^ jedi consistently prefer cremation. i wonder if there's an in-universe reason as to why? and how do they honor bodies that cant be recovered?
and thats all! i didnt see any new nose art, and i moved my rambles about ppl's sleeping arrangements to separate posts.
there were some arcs that didnt quite work for me this season, but overall i thought it was really strong
season 1 | season 2 | season 3 | season 4 | season 5 | season 6 | season 7
what a fuifcking BANGER season. ohhh my god. i took so many notes during the umbara arc that i had to list the setting and character notes from that arc separately. also, this is BY FAR the longest one of these posts ive made!
names, titles, language, and quotes
titles:
to quickly restate the general trends:
obi-wan, anakin, and ahsoka rarely use the titles for clones, although other jedi typically do. all jedi tend to use (jedi) titles for jedi ranked higher than them or jedi they dont know very well.
clones almost always use the proper titles/terms of respect for anyone higher ranking than them, and often dont use titles for clones ranked the same or lower than them
instead of listing data for these trends, i'm gonna focus on instances that deviate from them:
when krell arrives on umbara, anakin greets him as "master krell" - using his jedi rank. krell responds with "general skywalker" - using anakin's GAR military rank. so far i havent noticed ANY jedi using another jedi's military title over their jedi rank (take this with a grain of salt though, i mightve just missed it)
krell uses clones' ranks and CT numbers with a few exceptions:
^ he usually combines rank with name instead of number - "sergeant appo" instead of "sergeant CC-1119"
^ once rex backtalks him and gains his begrudging respect (or more likely, proves that hes not a total doormat and can influence the attitude of his troopers), krell begins to use rex's name instead of his number
^ krell, hearing someone on comms: "who is this - what's your CT number?"
cad bane calls ahsoka "little lady", which i thought was endearing
language:
when comforting injured clones, both kix and fives call them "buddy". kix does this a few times.
needless shots called "wasting heat" - referring to energy cells used to power blasters?
instances of juicy dehumanization language used by krell: "can't afford to waste any clones" ; "[clones wont] succumb to authority" ; "[they need to] be disposed of" ; "i ordered those clones be destroyed"
on comms, Plo is "Wolf Leader". also he refers to them as the Wolfpack! for some reason, i didn't expect that he would
ahsoka refers to fellow enslaved togrutas as "my people"
also this once ahsoka calls it a gun and not a blaster
mace windu says "in three revolutions" meaning days
quotes i wrote down:
jar-jar: "weesa don't all look alike!" (fine i giggled)
a plo bro to R2: (fondly) "after you, little guy"
anakin introducing rex to krell: "this is rex, my first in command. you won't find a finer and more loyal trooper anywhere."
jesse: "we don't know what we're up against" (knocks helmet against his head)
a 501st clone: "it's gonna be a meat grinder down there!"
"ay kix, leave it!" (like hes a dog??) (but also bc he wont leave behind wounded)
hardcase: "my commander on kamino said my growth acceleration chamber had a leak. made me hyperactive, i guess." (a clone commander? just fuckign with him??)
tup: "kix- kix, bring it down, you're wasting heat."
rex, permitting the jesse/fives/hardcase mission: "i can't help you when you get caught" (not won't help)
(fives: the war will end...) rex: "then what? we're soldiers, what happens to us then?"
(obi-wan asks ahsoka if anakin has talked about his past) ahsoka: "only to tell me he wont talk about it"
overheard in bar: "wow, i wanna check his midicholorian count.."
(rako hardeen arc) obi-wan: "Keeping anakin on the outside was critical. Everyone knows how close we are. It was his reaction that sold the sniper."
ahsoka: "is he dead?" anakin: "he's about to be"
palpatine: "you look troubled, anakin" (cut to anakin hunched in his char, staring wide-eyed at the ground, his chest heaving)
anakin: (hands on hips) "ahsoka, you should know by now that if you want to find a lowlife, you..." ahsoka: (exasperated, reciting) "you start at the saloon."
(rako hardeen arc, about telling anakin) yoda: "long overdue, the truth is" (rare yoda W)
i wrote: "i want to list everything asajj says in episode 20"
asajj: "well, well, what do we have here?" (morrigan dragonage fans cheered)
not a quote, but this section is the closest fit. there's a timeline where asajj didnt get recast from 03 CW, and was voiced by grey delisle (princess azula) in TCW. dont get me wrong, she would've killed too, but im SOOOOO glad we're in the universe where nika futterman was cast. the way she purrs her line is EVERYTHING to me.
obi-wan: "we're outmatched." asajj: "you want to run?" obi-wan: "i learned from watching you!" asajj: "funny..."
below the cut -
character and setting notes, nose art
characters who aren't in the umbara arc:
as soon as plo realizes how much threepio annoys wolffe, he ragebaits wolffe by telling threepio that wolffe wants to hear his story and then ~walks away~
^ as he walks away, wolffe tries to protest very politely? he says smth along the lines of "actually sir - i was- sir-"
after blast, ani + soka + cody are checking wounded
anakin plans to rizz up the zygerian queen. obi has 0 faith in him
anakin once pretended to be a slave (on a mission) and it "wasnt convincing."
ahsoka is a terrible actor/liar
ahsoka witnesses anakin trying to rizz up the zygerian queen.
ahsoka cradles "dead" obi-wan, is crying. she cant say the words to anakin
obi-wan's fake funeral is attended by: grand master yoda; fellow council members saesee tiin, ki-adi-mundi, shaak ti, and adi gallia; master luminara unduli; anakin and ahsoka; senators padme amidala, bail organa, jar-jar binks and mon mothma; NOT a senator satine kryze (i gasped)
^ sorry the council is grazy for this. you let SATINE KRYZE ATTEND HIS FAKE FUNERAL???
^ shes not even in the republic anymore idont think. she had to fly to coruscant for this and im SURREEEE there was paperwork to do so. did mace do the fucking paperwork??
^ did/does obi-wan know that satine fucking kryze attended his fake funeral
^ less dramatic but still interesting, shaak ti leaves kamino to attend
^ also i was malding that there were no clones there >:( they should have put 1-2 at least in the background... it just seems weird that none of them would be there
at obi-wan's fake funeral, ahsoka say that he hasnt SPOKEN since, and that she's worried about him
obi looks 10 years younger without hte beard it scared me.
anakin went to palpatine for comfort..... literally whyyyy did the council think this was a good idea....... OBI-WAN SPECIFICALLY .
we see sy snoodles out on a girls night!!
yoda tells anakin to his face that he's dangerous and unpredictable to his friends and his enemies.
obi-wan understands soooo many languages. i yearn to be him...
surprise! faking your death and lying to anakin about it backfired!!
obi wan tells anakin it was his plan, and that he insisted anakin be kept out. this, of course, only makes anakin angrier
anakin doesn't trust the council not to lie to him or to obi-wan (fueled by palpatine as well ofc)
when dooku starts randomly boiling, he realizes pretty damn quickly that its nightsister fuckery
asajj's one-liner ([kills man] "im not much of a talker") really hits at the tattooine cantina
asajj doesn't use her sabers right away. it seems like she waits until she really needs to. once she does, she wins in about 1 second
baby boba's instinct is to protect pluma, the girl who was "cargo", even from asajj
anakin says he's tired of government rations
the asajj and obi-wan team up is fucking EVERYTHIHNGGGG to me. like i gasped. she handed him one of her sabers. and he throws it back when she needs it!!
characters who are in the umbara arc:
on umbara, anakin orders dogma to rest. dogma interprets this as advice and says he's fine, but rex recognizes and corrects that it was an explicit order
at first krell is extremely by the book, such as expecting troopers to stand at attention when he's speaking. the 501st seems unused to following protocols like these, suggesting that anakin doesn't enforce them (whcih, yeah)
when krell gives a (dogshit) order, the 501st waits for rex to nod in affirmation before they obey
^ krell recognizes this and folds to rex initially (in the first ep of this arc). he looks around at the amount of troopers gathered before conceding to rex, and using rex's name for the first time.
^ this is doubly interesting because he MOWS through so many troopers later. im guessing that his move here was to keep the 501st's trust so he could further whittle down their numbers (and also the animators cant render the whole group - if rex is leading a full battalion there's like ~500 vode here)
^ while facing down the firing squad, fives (correctly) deduces that krell NEEDS rex's cooperation in order to keep control of the clones.
even in battle, clones step over the bodies of their fallen brothers. krell kicks one out of his way.
^ krell is very physical throughout this arc. he pushes clones out of his way so often - even the living ones who are just standing there, and even before his heel-turn
despite his vile ways, the urgency and pressure krell feels to succeed on umbara is real. he fields a call from obi-wan who's being shot to shit and NEEDS krell's battalion to move
the 501st trusts anakin over krell specifically because anakin leads from the front while krell leads from the rear
when rex and fives argue over krell's orders (in the 2nd ep of this arc, so before the ship mission that killed hardcase) rex's arguments are pretty weak. he's less frantic than when he was arguing with cut, but he's less impassioned - he's downtrodden and resigned
^ in a later argument, rex desperately tries to convince fives to trust the system, which fails.
rex helps kix drag an injured clone out of fire
kix tries to walk straight into heavy fire to retrieve more wounded and has to be ordered to leave them AND physically restrained
at one point kix queens out and starts firing madly while yelling. tup reigns it in (repeat of above quote): "kix- kix, bring it down, you're wasting heat."
anakin told fives (other vode?) about his childhood adventures on naboo (blowing up that command ship (a lil bragging?))
^ later we learn that he refuses to talk about his childhood (on tattooine) to ahsoka
rex clocks tup and dogma's tattletale asses and sends them back to bed, passively aiding the jesse/fives/hardcase mission
hardcase takes his helmet off when he decides he's not making it out of that command ship. big feelings on that
when rex has to tell fives and jesse they're being executed without trial, he won't look them in the eyes.
none of the clones present for the firing squad wear their helmets, including the clones making up the firing squad.
ooohhhhkay so. the friendly fire incident. this affects everyone so much more than anything that has happened to them so far in the show. reactions include:
^ rex being so desperate to stop the fight that he takes his helmet off and runs through fire waving his arms and yelling "WE'RE CLONES!"
^ various shots of clones, including tup and our other named vode, being genuinely aghast and in disbelief. its like they cant comprehend what just happened.
^ wa x.er . waxer sheds a tear,. again grain of salt, but i feel like this is the first instance of a clone being SHOWN crying (99 mightve tho)
^ waxer's dying words also illustrate not just grief but disbelief that he'd been firing on his brothers. "[...]but it was… you." fuckigg BANGER performances by mr. bradley baker here.
during krell's fight, which was unfortunately extremely awesome, i noticed that he fights a lot like general grevious. it's not just the four arms quad sabers - he's very physical. he kicks clones that come at him, he stomps their bodies, he picks up that one guy and breaks his fucking back. we don't see jedi fighting like this - even anakin and obi-wan's final duel isn't THIS physical.
umbara finally broke rex! he loses all hope for a future after the war, if the war even ends <3
when anakin confronted the first slaver i wrote "ohhh anakin's not well."
anakin refuses to talk about his past (the slave part), and tells ahsoka that he wont talk about it (see quote)
setting notes from umbara:
wolffe and some of the wolffe packke are on a mission without plo - reasonable to assume that a clone commander is sufficient to lead a mission alone w/o a jedi commander or general overseeing
whenever they show a hanger bay in any star destroyer, there's always 2 clones carrying some sort of heavy crate in the bg
krell made the 501st march for TWELVE STRAIGHT HOURS. while rex brings this up to say that it's too much for them, the fact that they were able to do it at all is crazy. i couldnt find a definitely figure for how long soldiers are typically able to march without rest, but this reddit thread has some interesting info about troop movements!
when kix administers a first aid neck-shot (previously used on obi-wan during geonosis 2), he says it will ease the pain. this could also be a different drug - a sedative rather than a healing agent
maneuvering: rex orders platoons (36 troopers) to move in single squads (9 troopers each). i seem to remember them having only 3 platoons here? or maybe they had 3 groups of platoons, which could get their numbers up to a full company or battalion
clones (maybe just ARCs) have access to the casualty numbers of other battalions, and presumably check them somewhat regularly - someone (i think jesse but it might've been fives) says he's seen krell's casualty numbers, and theyre the highest in the GAR.
^ if they're also able to see the list of clones KIA... woof....
kix has a little backpacky :) for medical supplies :)
rex gives kix an order to "keep the injured quiet" which im sure felt as good for him to say as it felt for kix to hear.
krell made jesse stack ordinance, which was gossiped with disbelief. im guessing this is NOT a job jesse would normally be asked to do.
when fives and jesse discuss their plan wrt the ships, they assume they'll be court-martialed. therefore court-martialing is a regulatory process that clones usually go through (so they dont usually jump straight to decommissioning)
^ the punishment for court-martial (at least for this instance) is still execution. the vode arent actually surprised about that part, they're only surprised when krell decides to skip the court-martial part
^ a jedi general "has authority to render punishment during combat" which presumably gives them free reign to do what they think is necessary for discipline. i would guess the only restrictions on this are the moral principles jedi are assumed to hold
once fives and jesse are arrested, they're held in the same cell block as umbaran POWs
the firing squad consists of 4 unnamed clones along with tup and kix, and dogma leading (but not firing). rex is present but does not lead this. krell is not present.
^ prisoners are offered blindfolds. was not expecting that line (or this whole scene) out of TCW.
setting notes not from umbara:
wolffe and some of the wolffe packke are on a mission without plo - reasonable to assume that a clone commander is sufficient to lead a mission alone w/o a jedi commander or general overseeing
whenever they show a hanger bay in any star destroyer, there's always 2 clones carrying some sort of heavy crate in the bg
at obi-wan's fake funeral, he's not on a pyre like qui-gon was (obviously bc it has to be closed-casket). the jedi temple appears to have a room with a cremator built into the floor
corrie guard run security at the prison - Republic Judiciary Central Detention Center
during the prison riot, one corrie says to turn weapons off stun and kill prisoners if needed
the vode working in the prison morgue are in bridge grays - also i wrote "has sandwich <3"\
the council is able to wire obi-wan credits mid-mission
for some reason, rex is assigned to escort palpatine home
rex has to lie on anakin's behalf to yoda and mace - when they ask where anakin went, he says "i cant say, sir"
dooku says a bounty hunter had the 2nd most bounties "last season". for some reason, "season" is reminding me of like fortnite or overwatch seasons?? is there a fucking battle pass?
nose art:
the left is on a 501st ship on umbara, the right is a bounty hunter ship (i just thought it was cute)
that's everything! ohhhh my fucking god you guys, this season snatched my wig clean the fuck off. it was so good. also, i'm now over halfway through the series!!
