Unknown/Luth-AR C7 (top) Tony's Customs C7 (below)
The black unknown is mine while the grey Tony's Customs belongs to @scp-291 (the beloved)
While not perfect, the these recent batches of C7's from TC definitely have a much more clone correct finish than the Luth-AR; I believe they're Cerakoted or Moly Resin'd the correct grey color over basic black anodizing. The teardrop forward assist is also a nice touch.
Although I was half-tempted to steal the TC upper for my 723 build (that forever resides in clone limbo), I'm ultimately better off with the unknown/Luth AR black ano'd one I already had so I have no guilt grinding the forge marking off and having an easier time color matching moly resin to whatever lower I end up assembling.
But first I need to set up that damn blasting cabinet. Maybe I'll bully the BF into helping me re-arrange the garage and get that done whenever he comes home.
I love this thing
So, I bought a C308. Haven't gotten to shoot it yet, but I have (at least I think) managed to clean out all the cosmoline (blech). Should be hella fun to target shoot with. Hoping to break it out this week for some actual testing.
