After a while Marsh got off the floor and ignored the pain in his back. It felt foreign to wake up somewhere that wasn't the currently empty dorm. It was even weirder that the place was quiet as well. He sighed and contemplated on coming back to the GAR, and try to forget this whole ordeal. Though, he doubts anyone wants him back, especially since he sided with the guy who betrayed his vode beforehand. Marsh ran a hand through the tangles in his hair and sighed. Looking at his reflection he only saw a coward who left everything behind for something that probably doesn't exist. He gently touched his tender burn wound that takes over almost half of his face. The explosion that killed King and Slasher also took Marsh's eyebrow, and most importantly almost took his life as well. Marsh honestly wishes that he died with them instead of living to be a deserter. He promised King and Slasher that he'd become a Commander of his own squadron, now look where he is. His stomach growled, but he ignored it. Flashbacks of King's last words took his appetite away. Besides he's gone without food before, so no harm done. Right?
