So many takes on here that are basically just someone mad that someone else has made a rhetorically situated argument.
If you want the city to stop spraying pesticides that hurt native insect populations, sometimes it's easier to convince suburbanites to "oppose toxic chemicals in the parks where their children play" than to convince them of the importance of native beetles. It still helps the beetles, and you can probably get it to happen faster.
My Huernia zebrina, a succulent from Southern Africa, finally bloomed!
Like their close cousins, the carrion plants, another group of African succulents, they have a vague dead animal smell, and are pollinated by flies. One of the common names for this plant is the little owl.

do you remember years ago, on this site, when people would send each other asks just to send asks, when people would send each other compliments and rate each other's themes and would do follow forevers and reblog reblog reblog, and do little ask games and people actually participated in them and people would do regular fanfic recommendation lists, like every week, because they were avid readers of their fandom/ship's fics and there would be less ship wars (not always) but mostly people focused on the things they loved and had fun doing instead of being miserable, when people would do snippet fridays, sharing little looksies into whatever fic they were writing and people would compliment and reblog reblog reblog reblog, and people would comment on fics on the regular if they even so much as enjoyed it just a little bit, and oh, when people would reblog, reblog, reblog, the things they liked
Wow this concord wine I bought in upstate NY is real good tastes like the calorie free powdered grape drink I get at the grocery store.
Posting this iconic piece of media that I just NEVER found online isolated except in an archived reddit thread

I read the first book of comics with my kids and they loved it!
The funniest part of writing this Project Hail May/Murderbot crossover is I understand the science Grace is doing. I very easily could explain it, cobbled together from book explanation and my own understanding
It is, however, much funnier to me and more in character that, writing from the perspective of Murderbot, it takes one look at the Science and goes "I really don't give a fuck about all that"
