It is my first drawing i posted! Hope you like it (:
There are captions.
Sorry for the crappy phone camera shots; I forgot my actual camera at home.
If anyone knows these people feel free to send me a message and I’ll be sure to tag them.
Propositions do more to express the author's assumptions and defaults than build effective worldbuilding imo
The first one I'm not going to speak to because I don't quite understand how being well-bonded with one's unit and preparing for missions is meant to mitigate being horny. UNLESS they mean emphasizing values of unit cohesion and military prep over the values of romance and sex, which I can see having a mitigating effect on a clone's desire to seek out sex and relationships. People who live in societies that highly or overvalue marriage will obsess over and seek out marriage. People who don't, don't -- generally speaking, of course. Lucky me, this also perfectly supports and falls in line with my belief that the clones are simply not told that sex and romance are the be all, end all of existence the way we are in our world or the way people in the galaxy at large treat it.
This one makes sense. Also it focuses on humans even though humans can reproduce with other species (I think at the time it was still canon that Humans and Twi'leks couldn't mix, but idk about other species). Maybe this speaks to an assumption/world building aspect that species stick with their own species, which makes sense.
Just because they might not know how sex works doesn't mean that'll stop them from doing it. This is abstinence only education applied to star wars, and we can see in real life that such education and limitation of knowledge doesn't work. People will just have sex and not know how to prevent a pregnancy or what the risks factors are at all. When people know what they're capable of, what the risk factors are, and what all goes into a full-term pregnancy, they're able to take the necessary steps to avoid getting pregnant (even if it's something as passive as avoiding sexual intercourse while one partner is ovulating. It's NOT ideal but it's better than the clone not knowing what ovulation is at all). This also presumes (to me) that whoever the clone is sleeping with would not have contraceptives, the knowledge to prevent pregnancy for their species, or wouldn't just get an abortion if they found out they were pregnant lol.
Fourth one sounds interesting but I'd love to hear what on earth a "mass emergency reconditioning" is wrt to reducing the chances of clones getting civilians pregnant.
