For my clone photo project i took around 30 pictures of my self playing poker in different positions and poses around a table in my living room, I then chose the 4 that suited each other best for the clone photo;
I then used the pen tool on each image to cover the part of the image that I want to cut out (the person)
One I have completely highlighted around the part of the image that I want to cut out, I will change the pen tool fill to 100% and then use the magic wand tool to select the whole of the coloured area, then I will click on the background layer with my main image in and select copy and then paste, which will paste just the cut out into a new layer
Next use the magic want to select the transparent section, then press select, inverse to select the cut out area
Once the cut out of the image has been selected, click on "Refine Edges" which is usual found in the top toolbar on the far right and add a feather to the image to blur the edges so that when you add this cut out with the other images the picture will look more realistic and less jagged
Repeat these steps for the other images that you wish to add to the clone photo (including props) and then place them all into one image
Next make the background layer visable to add in the background and the images will appear to be in the same image
